Science deals with the physical, the real, the stuff that we can see, touch, smell etc...

Religion (mainly) deals with the metaphysical, the stuff we cannot see and touch etc...

Therefore a credible debate involving both these fields is difficult as each side has fundamentally opposing views. This is why this particular debate has been goin on for far too long.

Footnote- for those smartarses who will say that quantum physics is a science but we cannot see quarks and photons etc. I smite thee. Quantum physics is not in fact a science, it is a popular passtime for loonies.

Probably you meant gluons, not photons. Apart from that, quantum physics is a model that works. For this purpose, it's irrelevant if quarks are real or not (how to define real?), as long as it predicts correctly the behaviour of subatomic particles.

Also, this wasn't intended as a debate between science and religion, it's more like "what is science and what is not". Evolution is science, creationism is not.

Footnote: if you're interested in the truth, Stupid Design is the ultimate answer (see a few posts above)

Weedwacker, quantum physics certainly is science. We can observe quantum interactions indirectly through experiments. That observance makes it a scientific field.

We can't see photons singled out and "from the outside".

All others have their milk-machines DOWN on their stomachs while humans have them UP on their chest.

b) evolution can well explain that - as I said ti would be quite impractical to walk upright while having a kid suckle if that means the kid dangles in front of your legs (you'd keep kicking it).
