Now even you couldn't possibly believe that that is true. They weren't 100% opposed at any time. Bush still got bipartisan support for every program.

I dont consider myself to be on the right side but do not mind the right as much as the left. I coudlnt ever figure out why but finally have. It's because the left thinks its S*** doesnt stink. Conjecture: Politicians use the tactics described in the quoted post on a regular basis. Both parties do this.

I absolutely believe its true. The democrats arent any better (or worse) than the republicans in this regard. To assert otherwise is simply incorrect.

They do have plans but it's mostly crazy stuff. The neocons dream about world domination. The rich want renewed tax cuts for themselves. They would love to eliminate the minimum wage. Blur the line between Church and State. Stop action on global warming. Deport as many non-white immigrants as possible. Take away a woman's right to choose. The list just goes on and on.

I'm hardly inclined to believe that the current Republican political strategy will usher in the apocalypse. However, the evidence to say 'this is just what the dems did four years ago" is lacking. The simple, ubiquitous chart civking posted says otherwise. Now, I'm not claiming that they don't have a right to obstruct as much as the want, but it's stupid to claim that they aren't do it far more than Democrats, or previous Republican minorities ever did.
