The Only Republican Plan Is To Destroy Democrats, Not Solve Problems

Why is it that after 9/11, the Dems rallied behind Bush, and his approval ratings shot up to 90%, but whenever Obama blinks in his first year or two in office, the GOP screams socialist-communist-fascist-secret Muslim-Kenyan-born-baby-eating Nazi?

Because the Republicans don't know the meanings of the following words:

Communist
Fascist
Natural-Born Citizen
Hawaii
Public
Poll
Majority
Fairness
Teamwork
Compromise
Governance
Sanctity of Marriage
Age of Empires III
Finance
Patriotism
Honor
Science

Bonus points if you can post which of those words references which recent issue. I'll honor you in my sig if you can do that (because I can't!)

Age of Empires III???

Actually, they were. The republicans arent doing anything that those same democrats did under Bush.

Now even you couldn't possibly believe that that is true. They weren't 100% opposed at any time. Bush still got bipartisan support for every program.

I dont consider myself to be on the right side but do not mind the right as much as the left. I coudlnt ever figure out why but finally have. It's because the left thinks its S*** doesnt stink. They sit there and complain about the right and bash them with their self-righteous BS and then turn and do the same thing.

Here, the left is complaining that the right does nothing but try and block them. Really? You think so> And what the hell does the left do but block the right? Seems to me that the left was just loving/hoping that Bush would fail at everything ust so they could talk their own side up.

It's really getting old now too.

Hey, you've got an understanding of how politics works now!

Conjecture: Politicians use the tactics described in the quoted post on a regular basis. Both parties do this.

Does anyone have a proof of this conjecture?

(Sorry, but I like logic-speak.)

Obstructionism doesn't solve problems?

I absolutely believe its true. The democrats arent any better (or worse) than the republicans in this regard. To assert otherwise is simply incorrect.

They do have plans but it's mostly crazy stuff. The neocons dream about world domination. The rich want renewed tax cuts for themselves. They would love to eliminate the minimum wage. Blur the line between Church and State. Stop action on global warming. Deport as many non-white immigrants as possible. Take away a woman's right to choose. The list just goes on and on.

I'm hardly inclined to believe that the current Republican political strategy will usher in the apocalypse. However, the evidence to say 'this is just what the dems did four years ago" is lacking. The simple, ubiquitous chart civking posted says otherwise. Now, I'm not claiming that they don't have a right to obstruct as much as the want, but it's stupid to claim that they aren't do it far more than Democrats, or previous Republican minorities ever did.

I certainly believe they have the right to obstruct all they want, but I just don't see why they do it so much. It's short term thinking at its worst and they are screwing themselves by ignoring policy for politics.

That distinct political groups apparently show identical behavior in a political situation would be quite a coincidence i would say.

They both have hypocrits, corruption and flawed ethics of their members. Whats 'coincidental' about that?

They are two political groups that express typical behavior seen in political groups. Nothing coincidental about that at all.

Age of Empires III???

AOE I: Rome, Greece, Persia, China
AOE II: England, Spain, France, Germany, China
AOE III: America, China?

:crazyeye:

Fine. 5% of Democrats do what 100% or Republicans do and it's exactly the same thing.
