I think you will find that some of the things that happen in your version of the OOS game are different from the OOS player. The game seems to play on ok, But then if you save and then reload, most of the things the OOS player did, will not be there.
Using vista I managed to fix early out of sync by moving the Firaxis folder from program files (x86) to program files, but I still get out of sync afew turns after the guild of hammers has been used.
Unfortunatly the sync code isnt in the SDK so I dont have any access to it. Im going to try to get a test patch out this weekend that disables some of the Guild of Hammers functions to see if we can isolate what it is exactly about it that causes the OOS.

Kael - Any chance you can use your pull with Firaxis to get access to the sync codes? Seems like that would solve a lot.
There are some people who just use XP who play entire games without out of sync, so vista must be a problem somehow in syncing up.
