The project with no name yet

Actually there already is a Jihad small wonder doing that:/

Btw I meant to say this in my last post but forgot: It stalled for me too, when I tried it. It didn't happen in any of my games. Do you think it's my scenario that causes it, or just civ?

There is one problem making the turks at war with the other turks. There are no more alliances left. I would have to group them with Serbia and Bulgaria, but that might create a very big player for the victory ( I set it to coalition victory, so it was easier to win as the Knights of St John).

Dunno. Just before it crashed, lots of Ottoman horsemen kept on running on an island north of the Agean. Maybe that ?

Yep, forgot about the limited number of alliance. That's dumb...

More "after-game" reports:

1488: Wallachia eliminated.
1490: Karaman Beylik eliminated.
1502: Bosnia reduced to Lubiana and Pula. I let them live in other to be able to concentrate on the backstabbing Venetians.
1508: Fall of Ragusa - Pirates kicked out of Europe.

Geek, how could I miss that ? Looks really great, a Byzantine scenario is exactly what I missed! Haven't played it yet, because I just noticed it, but I will download it tomorrow.

BTW, have you read Mika Waltari's Johannes Angelos (aka The Dark Angel)? You really ought.

TLC- Another save would be appreciated;)

Aion- I'm not familiar with the book, though I've read Sinuhe the Egyptian by the same author. He's really good, I might read more of his books in the future.

Maybe someone has an idea how to solve the alliance problem? Is there a way I could regroup the civs, so it would be possible?

I understand it now.
But I have a question to modders in general: why don't you make all civs playable? It doesn't help you to have some unplayable civs. You could simply say they are hard to play with. Do you get any benefit?

Well it would be very hard to win as any of the other civs (or in the case of Serbia, probably too easy).

If you leave a civ as non-human-playable, you don't have to balance it for human play.

If you absolutely want to play an unplayable civ, say the Mexicans in my Maya scenario, you can easily enough make them human-playable in the Editor. Just don't come running crying to me when you discovere they're boring and unbalanced to play. :p

It is hard- or probably impossible- to balance all civs, since the AI will not be able to be as inventive as the human player. However i think that if you set the difficult at a very high level then the AI will at any rate have all the benifits, so you could still try to allow all civs to be playable. Definately it will be no fun if you control Wallachia which has been given dirt-cheap units so as to allow the AI to defend it decently nomatter what ;)

I know you can make them playable easy.
So it's something for hiding the fact that you didn't balance them :p. (no offense, btw)
It's more of a signal informing players they're not balanced for human play. They are balanced for AI play.

Which Turkish tribes have you included?
Are you gonna put the Golden Horde?
Do I have to have to have civ3 1.22 to play it?

Takhisis- I didn't include tribes, rather princepalities. Candar and the Karamanids, Sirvasians, and the "Western Beyliks" (representing the small western states, but leaded by Aydin). The Golden Horde is not on the map, which is a shame since I would like to have Kaffa. You need the newest version I believe.

Ok I tried allying Sivas and the Aydin with the Byzantines, and started a game to see how the AI Ottomans were doing. They had a bit of a hard time, so I'm gonna give them some more units in asia. However my stalled just like LouLongs, and I'm beginning to worry, that it's my scenario that has a problem.

Ok I want assign the right leaderheads.

These suggestions are just from my head, now I'll go and look on the many heads that have been created. Everyone can come with suggestions or changes:)

@varwnos: Dude, I wasn't talking about Wallachia! I was talking in general about unplayable civs in scenarios!

BTW, what years does this scenario contain?

Well it has a hundred turns of 2 years and starts in 1354, so it ends in 1554, but almost always the game stops before because one of the civs win.

BTW I added Kaffa as a Genoese city in the northern Black Sea. It's location is a bit too far south, but I don't think it looks stupid. With a trading post in Kaffa hopefully there will be more ships going trough the Bosporus.
