I read an article and watched a video where a guy is making bladders from human cells. They are working on other organs such as hearts too.

Yeah, he's trying to develop cloned hearts. (there's a quick blurb and video clip in the link)

I have a friend who has a defective heart. His doctors are frantically hoping that he can live long enough to benefit from these upcoming technologies.

I wish there was more we could do to speed these types of advancements.
