there still is not really such a thing as a unified italian. the farther you go south the more different the spoken language is to the official one, culminating in sicilian.

So Sicilian is just a poor man's Italian?
That's why they strike me more as dialects than different languages, just to look at. I don't speak any of them though, so what do I know?It sounds like these different 'languages' are close enough that you can vaguely understand each other, but different enough to be considered separate? It's very interesting how so close to each other the differences, and moreso how they still exist. My grandparents have some old maps in Ligurian, I couldn't figure it out at first.
Not the pizza though. Them slices are usually at least a buck fifty extra. So Sicilian is just a poor man's Italian?
I thought showering in the evening/night was the most common way to do it...I assume it came about when people used to be fur traders, and it could be used as a medium of exchange. So they would trade 10 Buck skins for a pound of corn or something.
Does anyone here regularly shower at night instead of the morning?

Funny, I shower in the evening because of my longish hairI thought showering in the evening/night was the most common way to do it...
Actually I think that I'm the only one of my close real life friends that showers in the morning (although in the summer I like to do it twice, if I get the chance). Among other factors (like being extremely tired when I get home) it's also probably because I have rather longish hair and so it doesn't look good at all if it hasn't been washed that day.
Funny, I shower in the evening because of my longish hairI'm not going out with wet hair, and blowdrying is no option for me:
What is the difference between a language and a dialect? As I think Mirc said once, a language is a dialect with an army.
