The questions-not-worth-their-own-thread question thread IV

I am 18 does that mean I have to file taxes even though I don't really have any income? Can I still file under my mom?

No income means no need to file a tax return. In fact there is a cutoff in income beneath which you don't have to file, but i've forgotten what it is.

Yes they are very weird. They tend to be eccentric when they are drunk which unfortunately, is very often.

Hey, I'm permanently drunk and I ain't weird. We Germans are actually smooth, easy-going people, just watch this and you'll know what I mean: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBVmfIUR1DA
If you won't show sympathy for this little guy, then I'm afraid you're a child hater.

Judging by my own experience of Newcastle, that is definately something I would expect of the place. It has to be the drunken ugly people capital of the world.

 You should hear what people from my town have to say about Geordies. Needless to say, we don't get along very well...

Why do people constantly ask questions about stuff that has neither meaning nor application in history? Like "who would win, a Roman or a medieval army" or "who would win Alexander the Great or China". They're giving alternate history a bad name.

Because we're not historians...

...and more importantly, most of us joined this forum because we enjoy being the Aztecs and beating up on Mongols. Or related situations.

In English, why are there special capitalization rules for song titles? I'm not asking what the rules are, but why they exist or how they came to be.

I don't think there are special rules for songs specifically. I think it's the same rules applied to books, articles or poems.

Still, why?

My webcam has a button to turn it on by itself (without MSN or some other program that broadcasts the image to someone else), and then I just take screenshots if I want pics of myself. There are freeware screenshot applications that are helpful if you need to take many, or want to be too far away from the keyboard to do it yourself.

Still, why?

Most exist so we have a certain order when it comes to language. I know at least when it comes to citation it is important so people get credit for their work.

Why did google change their favicon? The new one is gross and confusing.
