Do these banners on Facebook tell the truth or is it simply spam?

Spam, most assuredly. Besides, if you could click to reveal who your admirers were, they wouldn't be secret anymore. What fun would that be?

:hmm:

I pressed on it once before and I picture of my favourite girl popped up, saying she was my secret admirer! I thought it was too good to be true, but now it looks like I'm dismissing it as simple spam. :p

They are on myspace too, which is how I know they are spam, because they always show pictures of girls for me... *Shakes head*

I'm not talking about any girl, it was a picture of one of the girls off my friends list. The one I have a crush on basically. The one I believe has a crush on me. Someone can't be that unfortunate to have life do that to them can it? :p

Yep, because the girls sent to me were people from my friends list. But hey, if you like her and she likes you, this would be a good excuse to talk to her about it.

The real question is why do I get such banners, being a member of neither Facebook nor MySpace, nor any other similar site?

Spam is universal.

How do Brits pronounce the "er"? I'm guessing it sounds like "uh," but I could be wrong since this is based entirely on the fact that Arthur Dent heard "Stavro Mueller" as "Stavromula."

The same as we pronounce "air" but we can make it last a whole lot longer.

Do you think I could build a decent muscle mass from just body weight exercises? I did about 50 pushups of all different kinds yesterday(meant to work out the chest, triceps, and biceps each) and they hurt pretty good last night and still a bit sore but I don't feel like it's anywhere near enough soreness to be building any muscle, and by that point I couldn't push myself up anymore(yeah, I've gotten out of shape)

Yes. But it will require a much larger amount of work that what you have done so far.

Well I've got some light weights too, just a curling bar that can max at like 145lbs I think counting the weight of the bar, I'm thinking maybe in a couple weeks of doing a bunch of pushups and other things daily I could get enough strength to be able to do a few sets of curls with the bar which should help even faster right? Just want to have a decent muscle mass for show to sexy womens at the beach by summer time and don't have time or money to go to teh gym

Just keep pushing yourself and eating right. and you'll put on mass and definition over time. pick up a book on technique.

If you're like most people, you'll get relatively cut doing isokinetics (calisthenics including pushups) and you might make some gains in mass and strength, but you'll plateau. Isotonic exercise (weight training) is proven to give more muscle mass and strength gains. If you're just trying to look pretty in the short term, stick with the isokinetics and just use isotonic stuff for circuit training--high rep, low weight, little rest between sets, every set a different exercise. Cardio will help you lower the body fat and look cut quicker.

well for short term I just want to look more tone, but I do want to start building mass and get bigger, just figure it's getting close to summer and I want to be at least more tone by then.

Change your name to Anthony then ;)

How old are you? One thing to realize too is that your body won't reach it's natural peak adult mass until your early to mid 20's (at least for most people anyway), and until then some skinnier people will simply struggle to bulk up.
