Generaly it is considered bad ettiquet to 'revive' a thread that hasnt been posted in for a long time.

On topic: These units might go nice in colonization, make the REF look more unique.

I don't think that applies to the Units, or modcomps threads.

And if people start disagreeing with me, I'll just start bumping all the cool units I can find at random to irritate people that have a problem with it, because they should get over it. It's nice to call out a unit you think looks good, and very well might get some modder to use the unit that they wouldn't notice because it was otherwise burried.

Please do so. Once Cultural Citystyles is done the logical follow-up is to link the artstyles with units too era-wise, and even though TheCapo and Varietas Delectat do a tremendous job on giving each civ a unique unit outlook, some unit art simply doesn't work in different era's.

So we are going to see a new version of Cultural Citystyles?? ;)

Yes, eventually (note to self: create a sort of progress thread).
As far as progress goes, the African citystyle is revisited and changed somewhat. The Asian citystyle is done (facility/improvement art as well) and a Japanese citystyle added.
At least 3 more citystyles are supposed to be added: Arabian, South American and Anglo American (the original South American citystyle becomes the Meso American citystyle).

Yeah!!! This sounds great, can't wait! :goodjob:
A progress thread is a good idea BTW.

@phungus420:
Definitely true; especially since some cool units are old and not in the database.

Also; these units would be fitting in Civ4Col.

Whatever happened to part2?

Very nice units, but shouldn't unit buttons be included? I don't seem to be able to make them myself.

Also that's because the threads really aren't that well organised in terms of eras. Therefore, they get burried and you end up having some abigious names that could refer to anything like a thread named Enterprise could be 1800s-1900s, 1945, 2000 or Future. Just my thoughts on this matter...

Nice units.
