The Struggles of Man (OOC)

I agree to all the proposed rules. I'm fine with either when it comes to leaving victory conditions on or off, I think even if it is possible to win a science victory we don't have to beeline all the way through the tech tree for a super-really-fast one on turn 200. :p If we get as far as to the Information Era the space race can be a nice story setting.

No, winning for sure isn't gonna be my priority, but like I said, I just thought it would increase realism a bit and perhaps make for a good story.

Okay, then if it's cool with everyone I'm leaving science VC and Time on and will hopefully be starting the game shortly.

Okay, Wang Lung and Wyverncraft, I need to know both of your Steam profile names so I can invite you. You can PM or post here.

Everyone else should have their invites. Please confirm in thread to make sure I have it all right.

I got the invite. Is it intentional that the game is currently "full" (max players 0) because it says I can't join?

For unknown reasons, the game is 'full' and I can't join. Invite went through okay, though :p.

EDIT: Posted that simultaneously to Gurra; apologies for the question spam.

Oh, whoops. Accidentally left it that way. Sorry, it's been a long time since I've hosted one of these.

Should be fixed now.

We are both members of the Pulian Cabinet group, fyi.
I sent a friend request (my username, unintentionally, is virtually unsearchable.)

Okay, I found someone on Steam that I guess is you. :crazyeye:

I added you as a friend on Steam Heerlo. Hopefully (if I did it right) that will allow you to invite me? I don't use steam much, save to start my games

I can't seem to find you in the player search. :dunno:

You have GMR installed and running?

Sorry I wasn't aware that we had to actually go sign up for giant multiplayer robot. In hindsight not my best use of common sense. I downloaded it and sent you a message Heerlo. Hopefully now you can invite me to the game

I sent you the invite now.

Sorry, I should've explained that better instead of just assuming everyone already had GMR.

I believe that is everyone.

Now, it's been a while since I've hosted a game on GMR, but I believe everyone has to choose their civs now before the game starts. So, you must go to the GMR website, find the game, and then choose your civ.

Also, Wang Lung, if you haven't already, you need to create a password on the GMR website. To do this, go to the website, log in, and then click your avatar. At the very bottom of that menu there will be something that says "In-Game Password". Set it to whatever you like. This ensures that your turn will not be played by anyone else in game.

If anyone has any other question about GMR, please see this video or look on the website.

I've chosen mine. Depending on which civ everyone else decides on, I already have plans for a few different stories! Will we be sticking with this thread or will we be creating an in character thread?
