This is a friendly competition game, so open discussion and screenshots are welcome. Come one. Come all. Good luck!

Feel free to use #demogame_CHD on irc.irc-chat.net to discuss, compare, brag, etc. with your fellow competitors.

The tournament ends at the end of this month, so be sure to submit your scores in time to qualify.

* according to the newly established department of the treasury, 100 cliks = 1g.

Also to ask, Where do we submit our finished saves?

What version?
Vanilla Civ 1.29

Where to submit?
There is still some debate amongst the staff of the CHD on how to best handle this. Half of us think we should require the actual save file, the other half is willing to go on the honor system and a screenshot of the score. For now, it may be best to expect either system.

Understandable, if you mess with his jumbos. Better to kill the Indians before they have them. :D

Difficulty level?

Drat. I was hoping that this game would be open to all versions of Civ (Vanilla Civ3, PTW, or C3C)

Edit: What version of Vanilla Civ?

Only Regent? Should be cake, going to be odd playing the orginal Civ3 though.

I played the game this morning untill the early middle age's, managed to wipe out India/Babylon, and trying to research chivarly for an invasion against France.

:) Yeah, I did that, too Strider. Joan can be real tough to eliminate, though. I found a new neighbor, though...

Does this sturdy Russian peasant remind you of anyone?

Space Race victory... Nice, IMHO, I got robbed of a conquest victory need just like 1% more terrority, and russia has got there island locked down.

Since this was a regent game, tech progess would not be helped by the AIs. Therefore I chose conquest which I rarely play, since I prefer to build. I also did not do a pure conquest game, but researched up to nationalism and steam. Military tradition would have been enough, but I just like railroads.

Babylon was gone first (because they were our neighbors).
France was attacked in 460AD because they had The Pyramids and ceased to exist in 570AD.
India disappeared in 810AD as last of our continental civs. Of course they did not yet have jumbos.
Russia was finished in 1220AD by our cavalry. (They had the Great Library, but since I was their only contact it didn't help them.)

Since I missed the Great Lighthouse I had to research up to astronomy for the invasion of Persia. (My 5th suicide galley made contact in 720AD and I kept them occupied by paying Germany and Greece for fighting them. Greece died by the immortals' swords.)
1385 Persia was gone. Since I kept them at permanent war with Germany and Greece, they dropped back from republic to monarchy. Despite discovering gunpowder shortly before D-day, I only met 2 muskets because at the beginning of the invasion I took their saltpeter town.
Germany was easy prey in 5 turns with their swords vs. my cavalry. From razing the Persian cities, I had so many slaves that I could build railroads immediately following my advancing troops. Thus wounded units could heal fast in my barracks.

Conquest in 1410 with Firaxis Score of 3785.
