The Twelfth of July

Some people seem to think that Catholics don't do anything to provoke Protestants...
Now you've got it lol

"Oh father, why are you so sad, on this bright Easter morn?
When Irishmen are proud and glad of the land where they were born."
"Oh, son, I see sad mem'ries view of far-off distant days,
When, being just a boy like you, I joined the old brigade."

Come on lets sing a long together

"And its on the Twelfth I love to wear the sash my father wore"

Well I live here to and I am sure everybody had a great time especially the people of the Garvachy road who were trapped in there houses and had watch Orange men gloating about a battle that happend a long time ago. I wonder what would happen if next Easter nationalists want to march through some loyalist areas with song Boys of the old Brigade playing as loudly as possible (I love that song)

Darkshade how about you send some of your legions of terror to help us out, or are they already here j/k ;)

1.) One of my favourite songs as well; I love the Wolfe Tone's version, plus so muc of their other stuff. Check out the song thread.:goodjob:
The notion ye suggest reminds me of the song 'The Fenian Record Player', except I've already posted that one on here at some stage :D

2.) They are already there; waiting. Watch out for One Shot Paddy or his friend called Eamon Wright. :D Cead mille failte! :)

3.) (To anarchwrksbest) I never insinuated that, but neither did I ever do the opposite either.

That's not the version I know. :D

Anyway, I'll do your song when you join me in a hearty chorus of 'The Broad Black Brimmer' or 'My Little Armalite'. :D

Lets build bridges together

'We're on the One Road' to 'A Nation Once Again.' :D

What about Men Behind the Wire, Sean South and one of my all time favourites Banna Strand.

It was on Good Friday Morning, In the month of May
A German ship was signalling, beyond out to the bay
We've 20000 rifles all ready for to land
But no answering signals did come from
The lonely Banna Strand

I know the rest of it but I don't want to type it all out.

When typing that another song came to mind, Come out ye Black and Tan

anarchywrksbest: Have you ever heard Patrick Kielty's version of The Sash, it was hillarious but I can't remember all the words to his version at this time

Out of that lot, I love 'Sean South' and 'Come Out Ye Black and Tans'.
Men Behind the Wire is also very rousing.
I was singing Sean South just tonight at the pub... :D
