The 'Ultimate' Civics Expander and Balancer Mod

Hey ripple, funny you should mention that. I have just finished porting all the C++ data from Warlords to BtS. All I really need to do is rebuild the new file & alter the XML data. Expect to see something posted here in the next few days. My big enemy, as always, is time-but believe me when I say that I have NOT forgotten about you guys. Your eagerness for the new version is-to say the least-incredibly touching :)!

I am still working on it, but have been running into some difficulties. I hope to get some more time to work on it soon (life is getting in the way). When I have more info, I will get back to you :).

Wacky thought: if Ideology could be made to work like religion, could it replace leader civic preferences? Perhaps by giving an in-city bonus for certain civics, and a penalty for others? I'll look into doing this by replacing BtS Corporations with Ideologies (I don't like the execution of Corporations at all).
 
Not so whacky really. That was what I was working on prior to BtS coming out. Now I have my work cut out for me updating this mod ;).

Well, I was doing quite well, but have run up against some issues in the CvCity files. Tell you what, I will try and have something up by weeks end (Friday). What do you say? Sorry about the delay :(.

Hey Zulu. Progress is being made. Finally got my CvCity files to compile properly. Just finishing off my GameText Manager stuff, which should be comparatively easy. Hope to have something very soon.

Hey guys. As far as I can tell, its all done. The question is, are there any people savvy with SDK who want to go over my code and make sure I didn't make any errors during porting, and to test it out before I upload it publicly?
Any assistance would be much appreciated!

Hi guys. Well my mod is pretty much done, but I need to test it before I upload it for general consumption. As my time is so often very short, it would be an enormous help if people could test the extra tags for me to make sure they work as they should-and recommend any changes to the SDK if they don't (all alterations in the SDK are marked //Changes Start and //Changes End).

Anyway, thanks in advance for all your help and, if this works, my plan is to implement some tags for Corporation Yields and Commerces, as well as a Colony Maintenance modifier. Will keep you all informed.

Hey guys. Thanks to Ripple's detective work, and me checking the SDK a bit more carefully, I've managed to discover that the StateReligionYields and StateReligionCommerce tags don't work-and WHY they probably don't work. I'm posting an updated version with the problem fixed-I hope. Still running into problems with StateReligionHealth, though I don't understand why :(.

P.S: debrooks, prior to the release of BtS, I was indeed working on a Mod which worked like a hybrid of Religion and Corporations. As soon as I FINALLY get the new Balanced Civics Mod out there, I plan to return to this project. Actually, now that I have the corporation code to work with, maybe I'll be even more successful.

mqduck. My apologies. This isn't the final Mod, its just the "barebones" with the new tags added and the underlying code to support said tags. What I was hoping is that people could test these tags to make sure they're working the way they should (hence the "uber despotism" changes). Hope that makes sense.
