The Volcano Errupts!!!!

@Stuck- Demand what you want but do not initiate hostilites. I would rather you negotiate, though.

@Sir John- You have entered the island after the three other factions claimed ALL the territory. Think about that before you take action.

I will put my stance up her eagain, once again..

I will not gve up terretory.
I will not atack ayone.
I will retaliate any attack on my terretory.
I will not move from the Island, unless Im directly ordered by The Fanatikan Government (something that probably wont happen)

Day 2- The Fields of New Cupertania- Tactical Wargaming

Today the Cupertanian and Vanirian forces were ready to try out the new weapons they had learned to use. This was to be the first war game, in which the NCOs would devise new tactics that utilized the new weapons. It was Vanir against Cupertania, in full simulated combat. It was to be open battle, no entering settlements. That would come later, in the Urban Wargame. At a signal, the two armies began to move. They were about 30 miles apart, and approaching each other. It was a Vanirian jet fighter on armed recon that first spotted the Cupertanians. He radioed back to his unit, giving the position of the opposing force. He then circles back, targeting the Cupertanians. Under a hail of simulated AAA fire, the aircraft drops two dummy bombs on a Cupertanian IFV. The bombs register a hit, and the vehicle is eliminated from the game. The fighter returns to base.

The two armies continue forward, and are now within 20 miles of one another. Cupertanian and Vanirian aircraft are both in the sky. The Vanirians are concentrating on tactical bombing, while the Cupertanians are more concerned with air defense. The fighters tangle in the air over the Cupertanian armor column. The most skilled of the Cupertanian pilots maneuvers his plane like a pro, locking on to two opposing aircraft and hitting the kill button. This registers hits on the two planes and counts them as casualties. As per the wargame rules, they return to base. The Vanirians eventually "shoot" down 3 Cupertanian aircraft and chase the others off, breaking through the air defenses to drop several tons of "bombs" on the enemy column. Several light vehicles are knocked out.

Shortly after that, the two main forces came within firing range. The Vanirian soldiers, who were more experiences, were able to react faster. The front-line tanks took aim at Cupertanian vehicles and fired with great accuracy, only missing one that they had targeted. Simultaneously, the Vanirian cannon and missile artillery opens fire on the rear of the Cupertanian force, inflicting heavy damage. By this time, the soldiers of Sir SaaM are firing back. Tanks on both sides maneuver for superior position. The artillery bombardment from the Vanirians is ceaseless, and they concentrate much of their fire on the enemy artillery pieces. The Cupertanians fire back only sporadically with their heavy guns. As the tanks and cannons duke it out, Cupertania shows its real strength: infantry warfare. The trucks, halftracks, and IFVs surge forward, charging through the Vanirian infantry formations, and taking only a few casualties. The Cupertanian infantry dismounts and makes good use of its powerful new assault rifles, heavy machine guns, and RPGs. The cut down Vanirian troopers in droves. Several tanks are knocked out by their rocket-grenades. However, once the Vanirians recover from the shock, they use their superior armor to encircle and trap the infantry. They then push inward, crushing the Cupertanian force with withering firepower. Those that are not destroyed by the tanks fall victim to highly accurate artillery fire. Halftrack guncarriers spray simulated hot lead in sheets at the surviving infantry. The firing stops for a short moment as the soldiers are struck in awe by the sound of heavy bombers flying overhead. A flight of 6-engine aircraft passes overhead and opens its bomb bays. The simulation weapons fall and carpet the battlefield, inflicting massive damage. In retaliation, the entire squadron of Vanirian heavy bombers takes wing, escorted by 2 flights of jet fighters and another flight of fighter/bombers. The jet fighters chase down the Cupertanian bombers as they return to base, shooting down 5 of the 8 bombers. The Vanirian bombers wait until they are entirely over the Cupertanian secondary formation (the rear area where the reserve infantry, reserve vehicles, and artillery are located) before dropping the bombs. Several hundred tons of explosive fall on the hapless warriors. They are largely obliterated. Several units of infantry continue to outfight their Vanirian counterparts on the ground, but the Cupertanian artillery and armor has been largely destroyed. The few Cupertanian IFVs and tanks remaining are targeted by the flight of fighter/bombers as they come down to divebombing level. They even use their cannons against the few tight-packed pockets of Cupertanian infantry remaining. They return to base, while the escort fighters remain in the air, providing air cover to keep Cupertanian bombers away.

The battle dragged on for a while longer, until finally the Cupertanian front line collapsed under the force of Vanirian armor and artillery. The Vanirian infantry fell back to regroup, while the tanks, guncarriers, trucks, and IFVs (without infantry) surged forward, cutting into the formation of reserve troops that had been pummeled by the carpet bombing and had not been expecting to fight so soon. They were easilly defeated with few Vanirian casualties. The vehicles continued on to the artillery and supply lines. Supply vehicles like fuel trucks, ammo trucks, command-and-control vehicles, and medevac vehicles were destroyed without trouble. The artillery fired a few more desperate rounds that overshot the moving Vanirians. The heavy guns and rocket batteries were abandoned as the gunners engaged dismounted tankers and IFV drivers in melee close combat. Within minutes of this occuring, the battle was over. Vanir had been victorious, but at the cost of nearly 2 flights of aircraft and 2 brigades of ground troops. Cupertania would need more practice to win, and Vanir would need more practice to win without such high casualties.

Remember them? I was the leader of one of the sides in it.. :) I FOUGHT in it :)

Dr. Conrad: I dont care who, just gather thoes Glowing rocks over there

Grandmaster: What in the world are you doing here

Dr. Conrad: We are collecting these Glowing rocks

At the Utopian Special Palace

Messanger: Sir, The report from the leaders of the island are in!

Strider: Thank you, you many leave.

Sargant Tectition IV
Tensions are high here.
I am afraid that we may
come under attack soon.
Sir Saam and Sir John
may be at war soon. I am
afraid that if war does
start that both sides will
try to force us to join in
the war. I do not have
the authorization to
declare war against a
Utopian Squire, thus...
I urge you come to the
island. Immediantly.

Srider- Stuck is asking the Council for help. You, Stuck, and possibly Sir John are all in the Council. Use it.

same post as I posted in the jedi council, it wil fit here to:

The elves actually claimed all the land not just the chinese part.. So you did take something from them... I dont think Strider will support the one that attacks, but I maight be wrong. I will not give up the tiles as they belong to the people of Tiburòn City Wich is now a city on size 9. They support me in my actions of not giving away any land so I will contuniue to stand where I am now. If you attack me I will defend myself and my people. Take that as a warning, not as a threat... I would advise you to stay calm and not engage in hostile activitys. Ive said that I will not attack you and you should say the same so that we can live in peace. Once Again I say that giving up my peoples land is out of the question. It will not happen. Since Strider has not been hostile to me in any way, Im willing to share my land with him (not give it away), but I will not let you even tresspass over my boarders because of your hostile attitude. There was conflict in the begginig. some people fough some people. Some people took some and others took some other land. Respect the way the borders were put by Zarn the Jedi Master and make peace. If you attack me I will take some of your land and hold it untill you give up any war you might engage in. Please think of the people of Tiburon Island and stop this warmongering.

Utopia will only take action in the defense of the one who is attacked. We have no reason demanding to have a tile back from Sir John. We got are fair share... MORE than are fair share.

Utopia will act only to keep peace.

Strider: the council demands the tiles back. it went through a vote.

Like I said... I GOT my fair share of the island... MORE than my fair share... You can demand your tile back.... Fine by me... but I don't want more land.... Also... I will only take action to defend the person who is attacked.... If you attack Sir John I will act ONLY to defend him... Not to take more terrority.... If Sir John decides to take terrority from you... I will act to keep that terrority into your hands....

Strider, now you and Sir Kohn are at risk in the Council. Need I remind you that both CivGeneral and I back Stuck's resolution.

No one but me decides what Utopia does or doesn't do... What Utopia wants or doesn't want.... Not even the council.

Strider, you know that Utopia cannot hope to stand against a united Cupertania and Vanir. Give it up; its only 2 tiles, and they aren't even yours! Is it really worth your position in the Council, and the lives of your boys in uniform?

Grandmaster... The demand was that Sir John give Saam ONE tile back and ME one tile back.... Utopia has stood against Vanir before... and will do it again....

Sir John is my squire... I HAVE to defend him.

Talk about peace keeping.... The people who come here to keep the peace are starting war....

OOC: OK, I misread SaaM's post... one tile it is.

IC:

Strider, we accept that you must defend your squire. Vanir would do the same of its fosterlings. As such, we will not interfere in this conflict. It will be seen a) as a civil conflict within Utopia, and b) as a duel between Jedi. As per the Vanir Combined Arms Doctrine, the prior calls for Vanirian neutrality, with nothing more than limited bombing in support of the faction we are sided with. The latter calls for me, as a Jedi, to follow any orders given to me by my superior in the Council. Meaning, I will fight only if ordered to by Zarn, but I will use my air force in support of Cupertania if Sir John attacks within its rightful borders.

I would like to add my slant on this. If Sir John goes to war with ANYONE, I will initiate hostilities with him immediately. You should never have attacked the Elven Confederacy.

delete this, the last two posts were made hwile I was posting this.

You do not have to return Strider's tile, but pay heed Sir John, is one tile worth the war?
