Thanks guys.

I mainly did that stance TJ so you guys could check out the sword a little better. :) I could work in something like that into the default pose if you'd like, but I think the sword might get heavy after a while. ;)

As for the nosepiece, I'm sure I can figure something out. I agree it would make the helmet a bit cooler.

And I'm leaning more towards giving him a shield now. I figure he wouldn't be as skilled in the martial arts as the borderlanders so he'd want that extra bit of protection. This is all hearsay, but what do we really know about Domani soldiers? I'll see if I can work in their flag's emblem onto the shield as well.

Edit: I'll see what I can do about the skin color too. Thanks for the reminder.

what sort of a sheild woudl he have?

*also, on skin coloured, I dont see the big deal- copper skin tone ios only the resul,t of osmeone who would otherwise be pale beign out in the sun too long- tanned and olive skin tone sint he world are exactley that, after all- otherwise pale guys staying out in the sun- sure there are exceptions, but its no biggie IMO.

Maybe for the Aiel LH you could have it veiled only when it's angry?
After all they only veil when they are going to kill. ;)

-Domani are tall and 'willow' thin, with dark brown/black hair and coppery skin
-Domani women tend to use makeup and wear non-revealing (High neckline) dresses, but the dresses are very tight.
-Domani men wear close-trimmed beards and long leather vests, their hair also goes past their shoulders and some of them wear thin moustaches and earrings with chokers/bracelets in silver or gold.

Quick update (before I switch over to watching the playoffs this afternoon :) ).
- added the nosepiece
- added the shield
- placed the emblem of Arad Doman to the shield (although blue is not their nations color, I changed it to that color because it serves as the default civ-color)

still plan to:
- broaden the stripes along the shield to make them more visible at civ-scale
- try to work in the circles on the chest armor
- work with the skin color

Edit: I could also add a beard if that is what everyone would prefer.

awesome :D

Looks great. If you want him to have facial hair, then all I say is stick a little bit of dark hair-color on the chin - We're not gonna be seeing this guy fullscreen at 1024x768 so don't worry too much over the details ^_^

I spend all this time working with transparencies and image maps for the emblems, and in the end they're barely even visible at civ-scale. :twitch:
Oh well, at least now the model's finished. :)

So here he is, the Domani.

I'll try and get started with the animations tomorrow. I've got most of the animations planned out, so it should be ready to go around midweek.

I was thinking it would make a good salute type motion for the fidget.

As for the static images, don't much know myself. I've never tried LH's before. I'm sure there's plenty of people in the main forum that could get you started in no time. And I'm sure if you could work in an Aiel that has a veiled face, TJ and Alerum would both be singing your praises. :)
Veiled when angry would be awesome. Would make me want to anger the Aiel everytime I played.

(smiles sweetly) No, you do not want to anger the Aiel.... especially considering Stone Dogs will have the same stats as Panzers.:p

I really cant wait for this guy :D

I have beaten enemies much stronger. Besides I was planning to play the Seanchan. I think that would be an even match. ;) :nya:

Sounds cool. I have to warn you though. My connections have been rather painful to get going for games. I've never been able to hook up with Sword_of_Geddon and he has asked a few times.

One thing we haven't talked about yet, and that I just thought about... I can't for the life of me remember any mention of artilary in the book... not even mention of a catapult. The longest ranged weapon I can think of, at lesat until Mat inventes guns, is the good ole bow 'n arrow. I hope someone can prove me wrong, or else we're going to have to figure out something to replace it.

Nah, If they don't have any in the stories, we shouldn't add any. Will make it tougher to conquer without it. There goes all me strategy, unless I build some spell casters. Maybe the different channelers could be used as artillery. Ashaman and the like.

I'm pretty sure that there were seige weapons during the Trolloc Wars  , but I think they had fallen out of use at the time of the series. Mabye we could have something like them being reintroduced? :undecide:
Mat does mention them several times in the books.

Edit: whoops! tjedge1, you posted while I was typing  . Anyway your right. :)

That's an idea. For the late ages, something like that would be cool.

EDIT: Here is the units pcx requested of me by someone by pm.

"I wish I knew what Verin and Alanna were up to," he muttered. "And I don't mean right now." Two of the catapults the Warders had had built stood at this end of the village, squarish things taller than a man, all heavy timbers and thick, twisted ropes. From their horses, Ihvon and Tomas were overseeing the stout wooden beams being winched down. The two Aes Sedai were more interested in the big fieldstones, fifteen or twenty pounds each, being loaded in cups on the end of those arms.”

I just did a search through my pdf versions, and it came up with 20 different instances catapults where were mentioned. I didn't do a search for trebuchet, or any other siege weapons, but I figure if they had catapults they'd have other types as well.
