The Wonder List

Thanks, mate!

I know it's on the UNESCO list with castle but I don't like such double naming. They maybe used castle because there is also a car make with that name.

What tool are you using for creating the dds files? Maybe I'm going to create one wonder too for fun.

2 Mongolian wonders, even though i think the first one was built by Russians. also, both are happiness wonders, since there's a shortage of those:

Zaisan Memorial: Requires Atomic Theory, +12 :c5happy: Happiness, Great Artist slot, cost: 800 :c5production:.

Shankh Monastery: Requires Astronomy, Amount of :c5happy: Happiness required to start a :c5goldenage: Golden Age reduced by 33%, +1 :c5happy: Happiness, Great Merchant slot, cost: 500 :c5production:.

CERN: Requires Particle Physics, Research Lab in city it is built in, +75% science in all cities, (pretty useless in vanilla Civ5 but if this is in a ROM-like mod with a giant future era, it would work)

I was thinking about these, maybe they should be national wonders instead.

Autobahn, TGV train, Superhighway.
Will give a % bonus income to domestic trade routes.

i was thinking amazon forest, but that covers a huge portion of brazil, so it wouldn't really make much sense to make it be only one tile. and i can't really think of any other famous forests that would fit the one tile scheme. maybe i shouldn't limit it to small forests...maybe sundarban's forest, over in india? or cedars of lebanon?

If you want something near the Amazon, go with Angel Falls. I can't really find a way to make a forest fit either...

Pre release we had 'confirmation' of Lake Titicaca being included, and even a screenshot of Everest.

Something from the new Civ Denmark:

Kronborg
I'm not really familiar with Danish language but that could mean "Crowncastle". Castle as addition is therefore not really needed, like with "Wartburg".

Spoiler :
kronlargeb.jpg

Johan Christian Dahl (1788-1857) Kronborg Castle by Moonlight National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design, Oslo.

City must be on Coast.
Star Fortress: + x city defense
Prison: +x Happiness
As fictional model for "Elsinore" in Hamlet even justifies a Culture point.
The last section in wiki also sounds like a small Gold increase or HurryCost reduction:

"The captain of every ship sailing through the strait had to state the value of ship's cargo. Money that had to be paid to the King of Denmark was then calculated depending on the value of the cargo. The king had the right to buy the cargo for the price the ship's captain stated. This policy prevented captains from stating prices that were too low."

Kronborg in a direct translation does indeed mean Crowncastle.

And the taxastion of the strait did go a long way towards funding Danish Renesance.
