So turns out as Macedonia if you capture a city WITHOUT a wonder in it and then click keep city and place a world wonder it triggers the Worlds End army healing bonus.

I am assuming this was NOT the intended outcome for this bonus. Guess that was one of the things that never came up during the QA test ;)

Wow. I'm not sure it's terribly exploitable, but I doubt that was the desired outcome.

Building a Wonder just to heal your units is a big investment and risk.

Heh, yeah but if you can time it correctly (in a captured city) you deserve to steamroll!

In an occupied city, no less.

Is it just the placement of the wonder? Or the finishing of the building? Pretty sure it's just the placement. If it's just the placement then there is zero risk, no investment. Not sure what percieved investment you are talking about. Guess I need to test this.

The placement does mean you cannot build it elsewhere anymore, though. Except if you return it afterwards, but then you're not playing Alexander right.

That's true but many wondering are underwhelming for conquest and you can hope that the AI will build them naturally which you could steal. Somewhat likely as well that you wouldn't be able to build the wonder in your good cities anyways.

Idk. I'm playing Alexander right now, and yeah, it's also got something to do with me putting 19 other civs on the map, but there's not a lot of wonder-building to be done, and on top of that I'm more busy building units, encampments and commercial hubs (to fund my units).

Also I'm playing kinda eternal-war like. I don't declare war on everyone when I meet them, but I deny any and all peace deals and continue until I have conquered them whole. Right now I eliminated 2 AI's (close to halfway through classical era) and am sitting on seven cities... Of which only my capital I founded myself.

It's just interesting to me that it's not a fully constructed wonder. I read that capturing a wonder under construction by the AI yields the bonus as well.

You only need to place it and it heals your entire army. Any useless wonder that you have no desire for will do.

So you literally place the wonder and then instantly cancel it.
