nonnob3,

I think you should also include the C3 Leopard tank on your list of units. It would be great to match up against the T-55 and then upgrade to Kinboat's Leopard 2.

I would to announce our newest members:
"Herr" Fähnrich Kingpin and Senoj
Welcome aboard!!!! :yeah:

Kingpin, thank for reminding me, I forgot about that unit!
(See, you are already helping us ;) )

Kingpin
here is how to type your signature
[color= limegreen]Fähnrich[ /color] of the [size= 1]non-political, non-ideological but historical interested and Civ-stuff creating[ /size] [color= red]THIRD REICH TEAM[ /color]

Hope this helps.... :)

Hi Senoj :)
Well, again this is only for fun.
But I believe in how much you do for our team and for the game I can up rank you. :) (Any of the officers ranked General or Oberst can request also to up a rank for someone, too)
For example: you create an awsome unit/mod.....well that score some rank points.... I also consider the amount of posts recieved.
Now, I am not here to create methods how to obtain promotions like the military. :soldier:
We are all EQUAL in this team. :yeah:
This is just to add for fun to be a member.
Again, welcome aboard. :)

Senoj,
here is how you can type your signature:

Sadly I can't create units but I am quite good at sounds! How about a Fokker DR1? The Fokker Dr 1 (Dr standing for Dreidecker or 3 wings) was one of the most famous planes of World War One. This is probably because it was associated with the Red Baron. The Fokker Dr 1 was 5.77m long, 2.95m high. It had a wingspan of 7.19m. The Fokker Dr 1's airframe was made out of steel tubing that was covered in aircraft doped canvas. When it was empty, it weighed 405kg. It had one 80kw engine and could fly a maximum speed of 185Km/H and fly a maximum time of 1 hour and 30 minutes. It could fly at a maximum altitude of 14,000ft. Like most planes in World War One, the Fokker Dr 1 had a rotary engine. The propeller was bolted directly onto the engine and the engine and the propeller would rotate together. The Fokker Dr 1 had one open cockpit, which could hold one pilot. The Fokker Dr 1 had two machine guns with an intercepting gear that was designed to fire bullets through the propeller arc without hitting the blades. The Fokker Dr 1 was a smaller plane compared to other planes of World War One; also it was not as fast as most planes. When the Fokker Dr 1 was first came into service, the enemy thought the Fokker Dr 1 was just a huge joke until pilots like Werner Voss, showed what it could do in combat. Flying a prototype, Voss shot down 10 British aircraft in six days of aerial combat in September 1917. Only 320 Fokker Dr 1's were made in World War One, so no Fokker Dr 1 is still around today, there are only replicas.

Senoj, the photo you posted is a picture of a Fokker DVII, not a Fokker DR-1.

I think somebody, (pesoloco maybe), was working on a DR-1 at one time but never seemed to finish it. I think you can find it under Baron Triplane, if you want to search for it.

Take a look at this: New Unit: Red Baron's Tri-plane :) (by Pelosco)

I think the two unit types that are really missing for the German army are an APC type of unit and a Self-Propelled artillery (one that is more common than the Sturm Tiger)

Plus, if anyone is interested, I have posted my bic file in case anyone wants to see how I have set all these units up. It is my intention, as a Third Reich Team member, to post suggested settings for all the German units in this thread. According to the people who have responded to my poll, players want to know how to set these things up. You can get my bic file here:

Hey... I gotta do *something* to earn a promotion :) I'll show you the limits of my artistic ability:

O-<--<

Can U specify the barriers you wish to see dissappear, Pi8ch ???
It's not so that I want them to dissapear, I just think that's the way to the World Community...

Spanish is already here, mainly due its growing economical importance when trading with the developing Latin American markets.
Which broke down ...
No without joke.. But the economical bosses or the well educated Latins can speak English - and that's the language they use for international conversation.. That's what I wanted to say...

You can't deny English as the best candiadate fo a World language today... It doesn'T matter why it is that, nor does it matter that it's English.. The only thing that matters is the fact that it is spoken by most people...
In addition English is compared to most other languages easy to learn...

I would think that it is quite likely that some kind of poyglot from of english will emerge and become something akin to a "world language."
with words like "Blitzen" (in battle-context) or "Kindergarten" you are using some German words, thats true, but I thnik that English will not include far more "foreign" words... Thats why all go with English into English speaking countires, and on the other side all go with English in Not-English speaking countires.. That's why I think the world language will become more a "normal" US English, with many national special words... e.g. In German, we have much differnet names fo the same things, so that often a "Northerner" can't read an Austrian menu...

Kingpin and Senoj...

Welcome in the team!

BTW: Senoj, ripp the spaces out of your signature's end tags - then it should work!

It's kind-of ironic being part of a team that creates German units. During WWII, both of my grand fathers were engaged in the effort to dismantle German units. One was a Carpenter with the Canadian forces stationed in England and the other, who was an Englishman, were heavily involved in the design of the Gloster Meteor (one of Britain's first Jet Fighters.) I'm sure they wouldn't disapprove of what I'm doing here, though, but it is ironic.

Sorry, this post is a little off topic but I figure it doesn't hurt now and then. After all, I am a Fähnrich, and I'm just using the privilages associated with my rank. :)

Herr Kingpin,
this team is was formed for "Fun" and to create (not only units) "stuff" to improve more Civ III and make it more "historical" and "more" fun to play. :)
Your "relatives" would not mind be part of a team that works on stuff creating for a "game" :yeah:
Thank you for being onest by sharing that info.

And , I want to address again that this RANKING system is only for fun, no need to worry about what rank you are... YOU ARE ALL MY FRIENDS AND EQUAL TO ME. This also goes to everbody on this FORUM :)
I believe by starting this "TEAM" brings people closer and shares more ideas to enhance the quality of this game.
Look at sween32 with his coalition, he has a lot of members too.
And they are working on making cool stuff like Vietman units...1960's era stuff........ sharing all their ideas ;)
And the same is here on our THIRD REICH TEAM :)
We have a great TEAM! :yeah:

nonnob3,

I am taking all this in terms of it being fun. I wouldn't have responded to your invitation to join if I thought you were a bunch of nazi fanatics. The atmousphere generated by this team, and Civ Fanatics in general, is very warm and accepting. You're a great bunch of guys (and gals.)

I was actually surprised and delighted by your invitation. I feel like I have very little to offer the team, except in a support role, so I'll do my best

But that doesn't mean I would want a promotion sometime down the road :}

:) Thanks Kingpin....... I know you will do your best and our team appreciates that! :yeah:
I am happy to have you aboard my friend.
Herr Fähnrich Kingpin :soldier:

Your quote:.............You're a great bunch of guys (and gals.)
Thank you !!!!!!! :)

Does anyone have a picture of a modern German Infantry or just a foot soilder? I am working on a special forces unit but maybe I can also start making a modern German foot soilder as well. Shramj
