If you get a 2/3 message and always wait, then your war strategy is no better than the AI!

It does depend upon the situation, but sometimes it is the only way to capture a barbarian leader. Besides, with STWA you still can attain veteran status by winning at 2/3 strength! :goodjob:

Usually that message comes up after I've hit the wrong key. I might 'charge!' if sure it'll finish off an already weakened unit.

Sometimes, in democracy, I make kamikaze attacks just to cheer up the folks back home.:crazyeye:

I've seen barbs attack at 2/3, & Ive seen the ai not attack at 1/3.

I don't recall barbs attackng at 1/3 & I haven't seen the ai attack in a while (usually it is just a fumble out of their city -- hardly noticable). :)

For me, it all depends on the situation. If I've got a sheer advantage, whether 1/3 or 2/3, I say KILL, SHOOT, FIRE!!! :ar15: However, if I have a better chance to kill the enemy than my armed troops, then I'll reconsider.

I always attack with a 2/3 attack. I only wait to attack when I get to 1/3.

Like so many have said before me, it really depends on the situation. And also like others have said, I often go by the "2/3 is a go, 1/3 let 'em rest theory". In addition. I will try to hold back mobile units to attack full strength next turn, whenever feasible.

I'm with Ren on this. Who couldn't back someone named after Kevin Bacon's character in Footloose?
