Things That Drive Me Crazy!!!

The big 1) You take out a civ to find they have a settler on a boat.

That has to be the ultimate one, especially when the cities you've just conquered then flip back to the other side

How about this, you amass the greatest Airforce in the world and position bombers all around a helpless AI ready to take out all his resources and luxuries only for
"Our Bombing run failed"
"Our bombing run failed"
"Our bombing run failed"

Ad infinitum

...and then one or two of the cities you most recently captured from them flip back and you loose half your army...

Sorry Dark Russell, didn't see you get to that one first!!

When Scandanvia declares war on your island, you actually have to take the threat seriously, unlike any other civ.

Roiting Mobs that destroy temples, cathedrals, police stations ect on the second turn of being in disorder!

I know i should be looking after the happiness of my citizens but it makes the job harder.

Anyone know why sometimes there are roiting mobs and other cities just stay in disorder? I presume it relates to the number of unhappy citizens.

In a similar vein...a city building a settler riots, and the moment that order is restored, the settler pops out.

When a city goes into disorder and you give them an entertainer which causes a food shortage...they're happier having a citizen starve rather than giving up their entertainment...or maybe they find it amusing to watch starvation happening before their eyes. :crazyeye:

1- It was my first time playing Egypt and i didnt know about war chariots and i was so angry that they wouldnt cross jungle and i was in war

2- When a 2nd-and then 3rd and so on civil disorder keep destroying improvements turn after turn after turn.

3- When my tanks lose against a rifleman.

:nuke: :nuke: :nuke:    :p :p :p

Or a spearman :D Actually losing against a rifleman makes SOME sense, a guy with a gun could, somehow, win (anyone played Half Life?)... but a spearman? Do they get a spear stuck in a gasket? :)

Classic. You may have the biggest airforce but they sure are horrible at aiming, imagine if they had a RNG for landing/take offs... "Your landing has failed - Bomber lost" :D

Oh boy, the most annoying one ever when you spend that extra 20 turns making the SDI defense, only for it to NEVER block any nuke.

I'm serious, that's happened before, all of a sudden, I think it's okay to nuke people, knowing that they won't hit atleast 75% of their launches.

I launch a couple of nukes, next turn comes around, and about 12 nukes have gotten in my cities, without the SDI defending a single blasted (sorry for the pun) thing.

ARGH! :nuke: :nuke:

I'll have to agree with revolting mobs destroying things. I've had to take a break just to cool my temper on more than one such occasion.

Also, I experienced my first :spear: situation when I was down to my last city and under a dogpile no less and an English or Russian or some such European spear took out a fresh tank in a size umpteen city. It wasn't the end (yet) but imagine my surprise

When the fighter don't do their jobs! And when they do... they just give experience to the enemy bomber by dieing!!!

In GOTM 42, i disposed of Carthage but they had a boat with a settler floating around. Before i could locate and destroy the infamous boat, the Vikings had settled on a free corner of my southern island and the next turn a carthaginian galley passed by... and so everyone knew of my dastardly acts against Carthage and my reputation was thrashed everywhere. 2 turn after, i located and sunk the boat with the settler

The AI's culture always takes away my tiles and I never take any of his!
That nice iron ore I just got and ten rounds later the tile goes over into the close by AI culture... That makes me pissed and how come its never the other way around!!!?
