I tried to see what was in the forum as I had never heard of it before, but got the "locked out of this area message". I didn't even know you were looking at a thread

Yes, maybe you were viewing the forum, and not a thread in it. I'll get a picture of a non-mod (why would they be allowed into a hidden forum?) without what thread they are viewing, and post it here.

That's certainly strange. I've had people test it out before, and it should show only "Viewing Forum (with no forum stated afterward)" There are something like eight hidden forums on this site (I counted once, by entering forum id's from one on up [when I was really bored]).Originally posted by MarineCorps

2 MSDG forums, staff forum, GOTM staff forum, a semi-private testing forum, and 2 more that are pretty much dead (so I hear). If you ever become a mod, you can actually see those forums in the announcements panel.
Just looked. There's actually more than 8.
Remember that thread about private forums that moderators have?

Thats funny!!! Wait a minute! Anoucement panel? YWhat do you get a new cooler updated User CP? All I got at CDG was a mass deletion panel when I became a moderator for the WOTW mod forums over there. Not that Thorgrimm allows me to touch it or the big red shiny ban button, or the shiny yellow warning button, or the split thread button, or the lock thread button, or the delete post/thread button, come to think of it he won't let me touch any of the button that moderators get

yup at CDG. Don't know whether the button postion is the same here but at CDG the ban and warning buttons are at the top (near where the edit button is), the split thread, lock thread, and two other buttons that I fail to recall what they were. And the IP button is right next to the Quote button. Where they are on this site I have not even the slightest clue
