Coupling is a swell British sitcom, similar to Friends but a lot better. Red Dwarf, Monty Python (the best), Black Adder...

The Germans I've met do not have a sense of humor including the woman on a flight to Frankfurt who told me in a very stern voice "kids are goats not children".

personally, I think the german reputation of having no humour undesered, it's just that many people don't get or don't like their humour, doesn't mean that they got none. I'm not a fan of the 'sterotypical' german humour either, but there are quite some good german comedians

as a kid, I loved french comedies, I couldn't get enough of Luis de Funés...haven't seen one in ages though

but overall, I have to agree with the consent here, british humour rocks

Ingvina Freyr: on the Young Ones. All Rik Mayall/Ade Edmondson comedies are good. I don't know why, but they're just so funny, so puerile.

KaeptnOvi: Henning Wehn is the only German comedian I know of, and I haven't heard enough of him to decide whether I find him funny or not. Although the articles he wrote in the Independent during the World Cup were funny.
