Those funny Westerners

 I absolutely love that clip

Oh, I love that one!! I came across it for the first time a few months ago, it's brilliant!!!

"Germany, having trounced England's famous midfield trio of Bentham, Locke, and Hobbes in the semifinal, have been beaten by the odd goal!"

Gotta say British, the sheer amount of high class stuff washes everybody else away in a torrent of phlegm released by all the laughter.

Coupling is a swell British sitcom, similar to Friends but a lot better. Red Dwarf, Monty Python (the best), Black Adder...

I rely like American cartoon comedy, like: Southpark, Futurama, American Dad, Family Guy, The Simpsons...

Swedish humor is quit good as well, here is a sample (the guy is speaking "Swenglish" and ridiculing Swedish alcohol politics):http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGnBIOI11rE (pity you won't get half of it because of the language...)

Well I'm biased but it's the English.

I rest my case.:)

Well, looks like the Brits win hands down. Not too surprising I guess in an English language forum.

I like American sitcoms, or at least the ones that make it onto the Paramount channel.

The Germans I've met do not have a sense of humor including the woman on a flight to Frankfurt who told me in a very stern voice "kids are goats not children".
 how could you not laugh at that?

personally, I think the german reputation of having no humour undesered, it's just that many people don't get or don't like their humour, doesn't mean that they got none. I'm not a fan of the 'sterotypical' german humour either, but there are quite some good german comedians

as a kid, I loved french comedies, I couldn't get enough of Luis de Funés...haven't seen one in ages though :(

but overall, I have to agree with the consent here, british humour rocks :)

I did laugh at that since I thought she was joking. She did not find it funny.
She really got fired up when I said "so much for German precision" when our flight circled Frankfurt for 45 minutes even though there was not a cloud in the sky.

Ingvina Freyr: :goodjob: on the Young Ones. All Rik Mayall/Ade Edmondson comedies are good. I don't know why, but they're just so funny, so puerile.

KaeptnOvi: Henning Wehn is the only German comedian I know of, and I haven't heard enough of him to decide whether I find him funny or not. Although the articles he wrote in the Independent during the World Cup were funny.

 ok, that's where german humour ends: when you attack their precision ;)

I have to admit, I have no idea who Henning Wehn is
