Nice! The barbarian animals civ now can have:
  • Lions and scorpions in the deserts
  • Eagles in the hills (any terrain)
  • Tigers and giant spiders in the jungle
  • Kraken in the ocean
Maybe you could convert a horse unit I saw in Civ4 and rig the reindeer from Wolfdog to it...
There's both a Panther and a Leopard in Civ4, plus a Bear with custom animations. Maybe you could convert those? (If you recall I tried to convert the Bear to Lion animations with comical results). I think there's a giraffe too.

I am already planning on converting the rest of the cats from Civ IV (lioness, panther, jaguar, cheetah, leopard); they all use the same mesh and animations so this will be cake as they are all re-skins.

The bears (polar, brown, black) only have 4 animations: idle, run, hurt, and die. No attack animations (I am guessing they just used the run animation for attacks in Civ IV?) so I am looking for options there. EDIT: Duh! The original Civ IV source files have all bear animations, so these are complete. :END EDIT

There is a hyena skin but no mesh or animations.

Wild boar I have already converted (in the Goblin settler unit) but it doesn't have attack animations, either. It is rigged to Ox animations and looks somewhat ridiculous at large scale.

Haven't seen a giraffe.

There is an orangutan as well from Civ IV, but again with no (custom) animations. It appears that they used Civ IV barbarian animations - I am not sure how well those worked.

Elephant and mammoth are easily converted (Using existing CiV animations from one of the elephant mounted units) but I haven't gotten to them yet.

There are more; you can keep up-to-date with the latest animal unit additions in the wildlife forum.

Great! I'll add normal skin as jungle spawning animal, and the white skin as a rare tundra spawn.

Edit: I'm glad to see many on the To Do list above. Polar Bear is the one I need most for something to spawn in arctic lands. (And mentioned in 10 other threads: I'm still hoping for a Mumakil, both a "naked" wild animal and outfitted for war.)

To be honest, Siberian Tiger as I have labeled it is a misnomer since they aren't actually white. White tigers are rare and found in the Indian subcontinent (so they are tropical/subtropical). However, for fantasy use I agree that they are ideally suited for arctic and tundra terrain... :) .

@Pazyryk: I have an unconverted Mûmakil whose carriage can be separated from the body, though IDK if you want spikes or not on the naked one, but Nexus still isn't working which has really slowed down my units...
:(
(BTW, the spikes are what were used on the Giant Rats in my Warhammer units thread if you wanted to preview them)

No spikes on the "animal" unit. My plan is to have Mûmakil as wandering animals (au naturel) that can be captured by certain civs (with specific tech/promotion requirement) at which time they are converted to the war unit (with spikes and carriage). So these are two units I'd really like to have...
