1499 - Carthaginian envoys arrive in Constantinople to try and make peace between the Carthaginian and Byzantine empires. However, meanwhile, military action is seen on the part of Carthage against Egypt, as an amphibious landing opens the motuh of the nile to Carthage and closes much of Egypt's trade with the outside world. Celtia continues its expansion into Canada and Caul-Iberia continues the expansion of the Tonawanda valley province. Gotland and Podosia both expand Eastward into the great, barren lands of the East, in which virtually no population exsists. A botched attempt by the Carthaginians to colonize Cameroon results in hostility between colonizers of the Congo and the natives there.

May I suggest we sign a NAP and free trade agreement? This will hopefully strengthen our partnership in this new land. And for future notice, all of northern America (present day Canada) will be Celt land, please do not mettle in this affair.
Holy King Leviat of the Celts
King Leviat had already scheduled a day of travel by the time one of his wifes asked him for dinner that night. He bid her farewell, and took to the sea's among the Royal Viking Navy WindBlower. The RVN WindBlower is the private barge of the King, and is renown as the biggest, most beautiful ship in the world. This ship would take him from his castle in Oslo, Norway, to the many provinces of his empire.
The first stop was the provinces in Brittania, in which most of the Income of the Empire came from. Castles rose throughout this realm, and the province was henceforth known as Scotland, with the island off the coast named Ireland. This province was by far the most rich in the empire, with the most export as well, making up for half of the Empire's food supply. The King was happy with his stay in the Imperial Castle there, and then headed to his next province.
Iceland, as it is known now, is the richly populated land between the outerlimits, as it is called, and the innerlimits of his empire. It is full of great markets and also a few castles dot the rolling plains. The land is known as the island of trade, and is the jewel of the empire, the majority of the Empire's trade passes through it's seas.
The next province is Greenland, a huge, useless island to the north of the trade capital. This island was divided into two provinces, the northern being known as North Greenland, and the south by Greenland. North Greenland is full of nothing but ice and more ice. Not more then 2 hours of the King's time was spent here. In southern Greenland, one castle held the governer of the province, and was nothing to boast of. Greenland served not more then a naval base and small trading villages and potato farms.
Next on the list was the newest land of the Empire, Quebecland. On the whole, this province was situated in the realm of Canada, soon to be under control of the Empire. Quebec served now as only a staging grounds for troops, as not many people have ventured here yet. However, it was the most tolerable land and climate in the empire, and Leviat knew it would soon fill up. The next visit more then doubled the whole time of the trip so far just to get there.
Vietland was on a whole new continent, on the other side of the world. It proved to be the land of great opportunity, producing many jobs for settlers. It was already begining to fill up, and three castles have been built by wealthy land owners. Markets reached the sky in the limited land that was available to build on, as the trading post for a whole new array of nations. Leviat soon returned home to Olso, where he had the dinner with his wife, seven years later.
