A lot of strange dog behaviours can be found in wolves and the other more social wild canines, some of this behaviour can even be seen in foxes, but not in the exact same way. This is one of the reasons why wolf dog hybrids are so dangerous. Dogs have been bred to retain a lot of puppy behaviours and characteristics (chihuahuas go further and have foetal characteristics). One example would be barking. There are dogs that bark constantly at everything. Wolves do bark but it's done usually done once as a warning.
