TOS V3.05 PBEM "Cartwheel"

The Japs build tough little ships.....

Sank a Transport and Destroyer Escort (fresh off the production line probably) near Pusan. No more reinforcements for China for a while......

Sank a DD S of Iwo Jima. Badly damaged another DD N of Davao. Lost 2 subs.

Red lined a CA E of Davao.

Bombed a lot of stuff (unsuccessfully) in Japan.

Turn to El_Tigre.

The RAAF harassed the retreating Japanese fleet and managed to sink a badly
damaged CA near Davao.

That's all...

I lost quite a number of Transports during the last turns, some of them emtpy,
some of them not. This has to stop!

Sank two DEs in Jap waters around Nagasaki. You might spot an oil slick or two after that though..... You really want to get rid of my subs don't you?

Bombed Jap home islands (again). Its a wonder you have anything left.

Bombed Komi.

Sank a DD NE of Menado. Lost a TB but the Japs lost a Zero as well.

Unfortunately the RNG gods got me. My DD failed to destroy a Jap Transport outside Formosa.

Turn to El_Tigre.

1 Sub S of Davao sunk

The Japanese will lose this one, but we are putting up a good fight.
I think I may have made the China-Burma front a little too difficult
for Japan. For one thing, I think if China can't build tanks then they probably
should not be able to build Seabee units either.

Jap BB and CA sunk in Komi. (The survivors of the West Virginia are on camera as making profoundly rude gestures in the direction of the smoke trail over the city).

Jap CA sunk E of Borneo. Redlined the transport.

Iwo Jima fell, taking out yet another of the squadrons that attacked Pearl. The citizens of Japan can look forward to the continous drone of US aircraft from this point on.......

Turn to El_Tigre.

(BTW I agree that China shouldn't be able to build Seebees either).

- bombarded units near Hanoi
- bombarded Tenate and Truk
- bombarded the Marine Army, -2hp
- TBs redlined a CA and DD east of Borneo, lost 1 Submarine. :(

-Lost a Bomber

NL
-Caused 1 HP damage on CA Kaga...lost a TBD
-Pillaged road east of ketapang

It is now "fairly" safe to say that Operation Pick Pocket was a success but not without cost to the Chinese. In week 26, a guerilla unit broke through the lines north of Kaifeng. They killed a NI and captured 3 Arty units. Those units are now behind friendly lines having completed their move in this week. Several units were lost in the process. But the enemy was deprived of a tremendous amount of firepower.

Sank 1 DD near Dongala, lost a sub.

Redlined a stack of DDs S of Dongala. Lucky bastards might get away if my allies can't finish the job.....

Central Japan is a bombed out ruin. Protecting rail with conscript Jap Inf isn't going to make any difference Eric_A. Not with what I'm throwing at you every turn now.

Saipan fell, killing another precious Jap torpedo bomber.

Bombing campaign near Saporo destroyed a mine, but lost a TB to a Jap Zero on CAP.

Turn to El_Tigre
