TOS V3.05 PBEM "Cartwheel"

I've really enjoyed playing PBEm with all three of you! I hope there is another game on the horizon. I have come to look forward to TOS each day! I'm willing to join you all in another game whenever you're ready!

Kudos to you Eric. You fought the Japanese well! As to my list....well I'd just say...I have a lot to learn about TOS. It is a remarkable scenario!

Well played, Eric! :hatsoff:

A big thank you to my Allies for all the cooperation, the amount of
emails/screenshots we exchanged was incredible! I woudn't know what to do
better next time: joint operations (Rabaul, fleet movements in general) went
perfectly, and the exchange of resources, money and information was flawless.
This PBEM has set new standards for team play and cooperation for me.
:goodjob:

I was looking forward to every turn in this game, too, and playing this PBEM was
the best civ-experience I had so far (and I'm playing civ for quite some time
now)! I wish I could join another PBEM immediately, but my studies are keeping
me from starting another PBEM besides the 2 games against Misfit right now.

I'm off to Europe now, returning May 12th. It was a very well played game. There is very little more the Allies could have done to execute better.

I think the deck was stacked a little too heavily against Japan. The lack of first turn strike ability against targets from Palau and the overall defensive strength of China are the only two areas that need tweaking in my opinion.

I'm still not totally sold on the invisible subs, but they seem to work out both ways, so its a dynamic that just needs a little more practise to feel comfortable with it.

Excellent work Eric_A.

Misfit

Eric, I think its safe to say that Misfit would disagree with you on that. I guess the answer lies with the Developer in..what do you want TOS 4.0 to represent? A historical re-enactment using C3C as an engine? Or a C3C ....conquest using a WWII framework?

From the gameplay on the recent PBEM..and being one of the Allies this is what I see...there is little chance for the Japanese to survive past 1942. Especially where Allies cooperate fully, sharing techs, and sending cash to the ally needing it most.

Although I didn't have the opportunity to play the Americans..I can say that their production capability is overinflated in 1942 in an historical sense but not by a C3C sense.

So I think the answer lies with you.

In the absence of a TOS PBEM, I've been trying Rocoteh's Barbarossa. I find in it that he is using C3C as an engine and that production times are "historical" not Conquest-style. It seems to be a very well done WWII re-enactment.

TOS is at least that good.

Good, comments lots to consider. I'm not so sure that US production
is too high. I am sure the US starting ground forces are over done, apart
from the Phillipines and a couple a divisions in Hawaii, the US was very
thin on the ground in the Pacific.

I have been doing a lot of work on the HOF scenario recently, if you are interested in giving it a test run, contact be by email. I will be posting
some info about HOF on the creation and customization forum soon.
