Aye, make sure to catch big fishes, I like fishing too, except I never even catch ones, well what can ya expect from a kids playing around using fake bait in some very questionable lakes....

Caught a bunch of fresh and salt water fish near Galvaston.
Rented a nice house on the sloughs where salt and fresh water mix. Sat on the porch and reeled the fish in...rod in one hand...beer in the other...then fresh filets sauteed in white wine, butter, and garlic...topped with parmesean cheese. And the rest.....

That IS life haha

The Solomens battle continues:

Fast Transport sunk by CLAA Atlanta
BB Fuso sunk by torpedo bombers
BB Yamato redlined by B-17s, then sunk by DD Fletcher
BB Hyuga & Mutsu redlined by bombardment but still afloat.
They are 1 tile N of the Bouganville VP tile and could be
a target for CW subs.

Loses - 1 heavy cruiser.

I've been to Cupertino, It's just west of San Jose as I recall.

Interesting...sooo there are CW SS's in the area...thanks for the intell! Well when my search AC found your TF moving north I had to assume that you were making for an AMphib attack against Rabual?? You don't have to tell me now but make a note to discuss at the end please. And knowing you don't come without a lot of support..I'm assuming and hoping the Transport was fully loaded. If it wasn't then this is a huge strategic win for you. The fact that any of my ships are still afloat is a blessing. And that you lost a heavy CA means 2 lost during the turn so that is good news! Should be fun to count the losses after the battle is complete. This has a real "Battle of the Santa Cruz" feel to it! BBs attacking Transports, Carrier and Land based Bombers sinking cripples, DDs, and SSs about!

Aaawww Cupertino...part of Silicon Valley correct????
Sully

IT"S famous??? yeah, that wehre it is San Jose, Silicon Valley where Asians really just flood the area and is where Apple's HQ is. Couple small lakes here and there, but not really lots of good fishing spots.

The only place I've been to Texas is Fort Worth area where the rain is warm and the random guy next to you carries a rifle in a case >_< quite a surprise there. My friend is just asking what kind of instrument he's carries and it turn out to be a rifle. And the plane landed in the midst of a Thunder strom the weather really just changes up there.

anyway back to TOS..

After the significant info, CW subs attacks and sunk BB Matsu and a PT boat tried it's luck at the remaining BB, but failed ><.

In India, Planes bobmarded Mandalay destroying improvements and damanged airplanes, 2 I think.

At Rabual bombers attacked and damanged a Zero while a Japanese Inf. was bombard N of PM.

Then came the first and quite possible the last of CW fleet's victory and contribution. As the Invasion of Timor progress, a task force of 2 CA and 2 DD charged into the rear of the invasion fleet and CA Exeter opens fires at CA Chokai, Exeter was sunk but managed to redline Chokai as the second CA comes in for the kill. after the perminter was breached the DD comes in and engages CV Ryujo and sunk it too. At last the final DD engages the invasion fleet and sunk that too!!!! But the CW fleet have no where to run from the HUGE fleet that parks near Timor.

Cloner:
First a DD sinks the Yamato, now one sinks an invasion fleet, oustanding!

We will have to start paying our DD captains more money.

You guys have just the best luck of the die rolls!!! I was thinking that fleet was going to be threatened by SSs not a TF!! Even then I thought my dispostion would hold firm. A significant setback to be sure......

Seriously...I think I'm cursed in these games...I never get those good outcomes. I lose CAs attacking DDs! Now..where did I put that bottle of bourbon? I obviously will need a full bottle to mourn all those brave sailors!!!

you obviously pay your Army too much and Sailers too little.. your army's kicking ass out there...

and who said I don't have any sub??

hope Hiroshio and the Army will have a nice LONG vacation on Timor Island.
my airforce have several set back too. didn't go too well in that

I don't think we can win this game on points after you conquered
China, but at least we can kick the IJN around a bit.

Japanese Imperial HQ: Japan's Armed Forces continue to consolidate holdings, repair damage, and restore order in Mainland China. Major sea battle near Guadalcanal continues. The Allies boasted over their results from the 1st Solomen Sea Battle. But IJAAF aircraft extract revenge in the continuation of this battle.

-Timor Captured. The last remnant of Dutch forces are eliminated from the Pacific theater. New sources of oil, rubber, and other valuable resources begin to "fuel" a reborn Japanese Industries.
-CW loses the CA Cornwall and 2 DDs near Timor.
-IJN loses a crippled DD heading back to Batavia for repairs. The Allied SS was then sunk by a IJN CL that was promoted to Elite.

New Guinea Theater;
-North of Rabual; Allied SS Sunk by DD after a 1HP DD was sunk be the SS.

Solomen Islands Area
-2nd Naval Battle of Solomen Islands; IJAAF Aircraft attack remaining TF ships near Guadalcanal. US Loses;
-A Transport, Fast Transport, and 2 DDs. The CL AA Atlanta was found by search elements of the 2nd Air Flotilla and sunk by 3 500lb bombs!
If the transports were fully loaded then this Battle could be a turning point in the war!

I didn't realize I got the turn, I had an essay for class due today so I was busy during the weekend and must have forgot. Thanks
Next time if I didn't response please post or email because it's most likely I forgot about it.

In India, Bombers and CW Infantry destroy roads near the moutain and the jungles to slow down the enemy while bombers pounds some armored units.

In Rabaul, Raids against the city destorys two zero on the ground.

Yup, Got it and will play it later today. Have to get all my projects and such done early in the day due to this crummy 100+ F heat blast we are having. Trouble is..unlike most of the states..our heat stays all summer. Why anyone would choose to live here is beyond me???
Sully

and yet you are beyong me too : )
I will make sure I send it to sully next time. Forgot about that.
I can't imagine living in Texas, I can't barely live in my area and it's near the coast! I remember that time I was in Texas in May I already feel the wraith of the weather!!! I mean, the rain there was warm!!!! argh thunderstrom everywhere....well you got a lot of land though ><
