Does anyone know any good sites to find trends to Toy Industries? Thanks.

There have not been any trends for years. Some brands may change, but for the most part, it's the same now as when you were a wee kiddy.

There are some trends in technology with a knock-on effect, but the actual concepts behind the toys seem completely unchanged in all the time I have been visiting Bart Smitt and Toys R Us :p

Some effects of technology are a mixed blessing: cute soft toys that chatter are presumably battery powered so the toy will die one day :cringe:

Most of the things I used to play with are still being sold, though the cost seems to be dropping but that might be changed perspective. If the concept is not broke, why fix it?

I've not been buying (or even looking at) much toys to be able to give an opinion. Civ is my toy. :p

I know the new trend, crap.

I haven't gotten a good toy in a while. I want something that shoots arrows.

Nah, next town over only has clothing info. Abercrombie sales stats

Supposedly there's a trend from "creative" toys (such as old-style Lego) to "pre-thought" toys that come complete with purpose and mission statement from some movie or the like. This would agree with my unscientific impressions.
