This will be the first part of my report, since I want some feedback on where to proceed...
...and what to do with our spoils of war!
Turns 1-3:
The first thing I did was adopt slavery. Since if things went poorly with the war effort, we can whip up some defenders in case of an emergency, or additional attackers if need-be.
And since I'm impatient, I go ahead and declare war and charge the field. Apparently I caught him by surprise because he only had two archers in his capital. He whipped a chariot right before I attacked, but by then it was too late:
Somehow I managed to capture it without taking any loses! The first two axes had about a ~20% chance each time and were victorious both times.
Our warrior also took care of that upstart barbarian near Lyons the turn before Nidaros fell.
Turns 4-5:
While I was taking Nidaros, Ragnar had an archer that was busy exploring Cyrus' territory start to march his way towards Paris. Seeing him coming, I had Paris temporarily stop building the Temple of Artemis and start working on a chariot. I also had Orleans work on a chariot as well, and I moved the warrior that was near Orleans towards Paris to engage the enemy.
Even though he was attacking across water, the archer took out the warrior, so I guess what goes around comes around as far as luck is concerned. I whipped the chariot in Paris just in case the computer attacked and defeated our warrior in some 1 in a million shot. And it paid off:
While this is going on, the rest of the axemen march towards Uppsala. It was defended by 2 archers and a warrior. Apparently Ragnar was having some problem with barbarians, because his warrior was already weakened, and a barb archer kamikazes himself against the city right before I attacked, further weakening the defenders. Hurray for barbs

.
Soon Uppsala suffers the same fate as Nidaros, but I lose 2 axemen during the fighting. However, we captured the 2 workers that were holed up in Uppsala, so that helps make up for it.
I go ahead and keep it since it has pretty good resources (Cow and Wineries), which can be put to go use later.
Since for some reason none of the clams had fishing boats already, I made this trade with Cyrus rather than researching it ourselves:
Besides that, the rest of the empire remains mostly the same. I chopped another forest for the Temple, and I changed Lyons workorder to a monument to get the culture increase so we can get cows in the cultural border. I'm also having one of the captured workers build a road to connect Nidaros with the rest of our empire.
Any suggestions on where to proceed next? The remainder of my turns will probably be rather quiet, but I suggest we see about building our next city in the plot of land in between Paris and Nidaros. Also, after I consolidate our newly-gained territory, I'll probably move a portion of the axemen back towards Paris to plan for the next attack against Susa if that is still one of our goals.
