The Red Air Force has detected a German Ju-88 in Soviet airspace, right outside the city limits of the port city of Odessa. Foreign Minister Molotov has kindly asked our German friends to explain the planes incursion into Soviet airspace.
Negotiations continue with our new Swiss and Turkish allies (though the AI won't sign with me either, and neither of you is at worshipful either. Perhaps the AI sets it back).
Meanwhile, several photos have been released showing our fearless leader, Comrade Stalin gleefully involved in a snowball fight with other top party officials, (Malenkov, Molotov, Beria, Khruschev). Comrade Stalin's snowball tactics are excellent, as the photo shows him clearly without snow, while the others could be confused for snowmen.

Representatives of the countries of Russia, the Swiss-Swedish federation and Turkey yesterday concluded the final signatures of The Zürich Pact, promising mutual cooperation and defence from aggression in Europe. The terms agreed are as follows :
* The members of the alliance is Russia, Turkey and the Minor Nations.
* All members should so far as possible set his attitude towards the partners as "Worshipful" (if the AI changes the attitude, we'll live with it)
* Techs can be traded freely among the partners of the alliance, consent given automatically within the alliance.
* If one member of the alliance is attacked, all members of the alliance will declare war on the aggressor.
* The alliance concluded is furthermore a scientific pact, sharing technologies between its partners.
* No tech can be traded with third party, without the consent of the other ZP partners
* Withdrawal from the alliance can happen peacefully, with a year of non-aggression against the former partners.
* Breech of the terms of the alliance allows the other members to impose a penalty of their agreement.
* Should a nation wish to join the alliance, it is subject to approval by the partners of the treaty.
Turkey and Russia, if you have comments, objections or minor changes to these terms, just let me know. They were written to formalize what we've been agreeing about earlier. The last ones I added, because I thought we needed some sort of "withdrawal" and "penalty" paragraphs, and an option for other countries to become members of the alliance.

Foreign Minister Molotov has conducted a whirlwind plane and train hopping tour throughout Europe. After spending a few weeks in Zurich, Molotov pronounced that "the Soviet Union is proud to be a member of the Zurich Pact. Hopefully, this pact of cooperation and mutual defense shall set an shining example of what is possible when mankind strives for peace and cooperation."

General Gamelin was killed during German air attack on Bastia. Witnesses told that he stayed until the end in his commando centre and organised resistance against the German-Italian descent.

The North African campaign is finally able to commence in earnest, Field Marshall Erwin Rommel has arrived in Tripolis to much fanfare and a parade was held in his honour. Accompanying the Field Marshall were 3 panzer divisions which are greatly needed to bolster the few troops that are able to be produced by the poor industry in the area. An air attack by recently produced Focke-Wofle fighters was opened outside of El Alamein where 2 Allied troops were destroyed to signal that the North African campaign has truly begun. The Focke-Wolfes are the most advanced fighter in the skies and is a powerful weapon for the Luftwaffe. The European front is quiet with simple air surveillance taking place over England and optimization of production by reassigning units to different cities to ease the strain on the heavy production cities such as Koln and Berlin.
The German people applaud the ability of the 3 members of the Zurich pact to come together. The common front they present would be a powerful deterrant to any would-be aggressor. Their scientific research will also be greatly increased by their combined efforts. Any interesting discoveries would be greatly valued by the Reichstag and proposals on any exchanging of ideas would be most welcome.
