[TSL] Yet (not) Another Earth Maps Pack

Hello, I am French and I speak little English, so I hope you understand.
I love the mod "Hulfgar Modpack's" and "[TSL] Yet (not) Another Earth Maps Pack", but overall, I have a compatibility problem, resources are not displayed.
How to solve this problem?
Please help me, thank you

Is it possible for you to go over the 22 civ limit because i would like to use all DLCS aswell and have like 26 civs o the map.

Thank you. :crazyeye:

Thank you for creating this mod for all the CiV Earth fans. I've spent some good times with it, but sadly I share the same "random sudden constant crash" problem with PRO927. The game suddenly crashes when it is not even lagging at all, and when I try to reload the autosave in order to keep playing the game will crash again at the same turn as before. I dare to decree that the problem can't be caused by my PC's weakness as all the other bigger maps work perfectly (as they should with 12GB RAM).

This problem has happened to me when playing the Earth Standard map. I am not sure if the other maps of the mod share the same problem. The real mystery is that I've managed to finish two Standard Earth games with no crashes at all (out of about 12 attempts). I will paste the content of the Lua file via PM to you once I figure out how do you do that... I am not an expert with internet forums.

Cheers.

EDIT: It seems like something extra-ordinary happened. Now I can reload my current game and continue playing, but the game crashes everytime I use my merchant to build a custom house. At least the game won't end in the exact turn (like usually) this time.

Since the korean update none of my mods are saving now. This is the one I use the most and i reinstalled it to. There isn't even a save button and i haven't had this problem before. If anyone knows how to fix this please tell me

Hey Gedemon, thanks so much for the update. I hadn't posted anything in here because I've been obsessively playing your map instead! Got a great Korea game going right now and all.

The game has not had the repetitive crash at a specific turn for either Korea or India, I can confirm (for now at least!).

Any news on moving Honolulu to the correct island? Or on the crash bug in general?

Also, I don't know if this is something you can remedy, but I've noticed that Polynesia never tries to colonize the Americas. It only goes towards Japan or China (usually it gets a city or two in China, but never in Japan).

Additionally, I've never seen a single nation go to Australia, and if I include the Incans in the game, they dominate and win by having all of South America, unhindered (perhaps the Aztecs should be more aggressive towards building downwards - even in an Incan-less game, the Aztecs only move North).

Thanks again, this map is amazing, along with the 45 city states mod of yours! Makes Africa much more...populated! I was wondering if you were going to keep the Harappa city-state, though? Because that was just a pre-cursor to the Indian civilization.

this example actually prompts something i've wondered about World Builder for a long time but took the time to ask/research: does this kind of activity have anything to do with the "continents" designation for specific tiles?

For example: commonly in earth maps Austrailia is on the "Asia" or "Americas" continent (I think at least for the stock CiV maps).

Does this have anything to do with what a civ considers "its" territory? does it affect relations to other civs or their settling patterns?

just curious. Thanks

I think that the continents only affect the appearance of the terrain, and where the conquistador can build cities.

Oh, BTW, I noticed that "Ile-Ife" appears as "Ife-Ife" in the "dialogue" screen for that city-state.

Been playing your map day and night man, this is excellent!

I think the newest version might have some bugs, because my game keeps crashing, and the only difference is that I'm using v.13 (12? Whatever the post-Korean version is) as opposed to its immediate predecessor, which seemed to be bug-free.

Hi!

In the first post of this thread it says that this mod has four maps in it. I downloaded it yesterday, but I only have three maps to choose from? The Europe map is missing... do I have to download it somewhere else or what?

Hi Gedemon, really nice maps. However, i tried to use both the giant and the Huge maps and in both cases, even after the troubleshooting actions that you suggested in the download page, the game suddenly crashes at a certain point. It does it several times with the giant map, and sometimes I reload the saved game and manage to continue, but at a certain point it simply remains stuck and crashes.
With the huge map it has crashed even earlier than with the giant map, therefore I guess that it is not a matter of dimensions.
The following is the content of the lua file: [8913.319] Initializing Lua 5.1.4
Can you please help me, since I cannot finish any of the games I started with your maps, and this is so bad since I like them very much!
By the way, my system is a Windows 7, intel quad core i5 2,67 MgH with 8 Gb RAM, if this is useful.
Thanks a lot!

Thanks Glassmage. I have an ATI Mobility Radeon 6550 with 1 Gb memory. My laptop is fairly recent, therefire I guess it is not a matter of hardware, but maybe instead some sort of bug in the mod. For instance, the game crashed several times with giant map, but after reloading the saved game I was able to go on, then it finally crashed at turn 475 and does not allow me to go on. I can always load the game, but after I press the "next turn" button, it crashes when I should begin actions in my next turn. The same happens with the huge map, but the turn is the 267.
Since the huge map is less heavy than the giant map, but it crashes earlier, I guess it is not a matter of hardware. Do you agree with my thought?
btw, I hope also Gedemon is going to give me some advice ;)

well, if there are crashes caused by the mod, they should occur during initial loading, the mod does not do anything while you're playing, once the maps are set.

so I'm afraid that I'll be short of advice here.

The crashes happen at total random or during specific phase only (AI turn, map scrolling, ...) ?

Well, mine occurs during end turn. The only changes I made were:
A) Updating your mod.
B) Dropping several other mods. And I don't think that would have caused it, if anything, that would've improved it..
And yes, I started a new game, not messing with the settings.
I must say, though, it improved a bit as I went on.

My computer's specs are far above what DX11 requires, and I normally play with the DX9 version, so I don't think its an issue with computer. The fact that I'm running DX9 might explain it, not my computer's power.

It is hardware problem because when I play this map on my laptop things like that happen, but on my comp with better specs then no crashes.

I hope not, I just bought the laptop! Anyway, I'm now playing with another huge tsl earth map and till turn 380 no crashes. If I get to finish it I guess it will be clear that there is some sort of incompatibility with Gedemon's maps. I mean, I don't want to say that there is some sort of error in those maps, but maybe some script creates conflicts.
