Turn 3: What should we produce?

What should we make in Dancing Banana?

Worker. We need workers, then warriors to explore, than obviouskly settlers, then more workers, then more settlers, then more soldiers, and so forth.

The worker can't be built until we grow, and even with the cow irrigated, we won't be able to grow before the worker is built. We should try to get a feel for our surroundings before we get our first settler out - warrior.

PLease observe the Revised Provolution Plan Turns 1-30, and tell me if we can stick with it. I laid down much work in shaping it , observing input here. Please let me know if we can commit to this long term plan with synergies and optimization of tile management and build queues.

Strider or Vbraun, please PM me or mail me the password for the save?

I'm a gambling man: settler ;)

i believe the game password is in the Team Info thread.

Hell, I must be in a differant timezone than everyone else. When I'm awake, the only posts I see are from Donsig and Vbraun, but when I wake up in the morning and check things out.. there were about 20 new posts while I was sleeping.

Not sure yet. Definately not a worker. I haven't heard enough from the settler faction to make up my mind yet...

Isn't it rather risky to send out an unescorted settler? What about unhappiness if we don't use a warrior as an MP?

We raise the lux tax. :p

Ok, I'll rephrase the question. Do we want to put ourselves in a position where we'll have to raise the lux slider (and lower the science slider) because we lack an MP?

Of course it seems moot now since there are 8 votes already for the warrior. Is that a majority of our team?

I'm fairly sure that the other teams would do the same thing.

My mother would have said, "If all the other teams were jumping off a bridge..."

I'll try one more time because even if we make a warrior first we then have to decide if it stays put and guards the banana or sallies forth in search of other life forms.

How important is it to maximize our scientific research to get iron working? Do we want to avoid lowering the science rate at all costs (including having two MPs) or are we willing to sacrifice the acquisition of iron working for a few turns (because we sent the MPs out exploring and had to raise the lux slider)?

BTW, 8 is not a majority since there are 17 people on our team roster. We should keep an eye on the roster size so we'll know when a poll has majority support (even if said poll isn't closed).

I see where your coming from but I think using our warrior as MP well hamper us more then help us. We would lose 8 turns of exploring (If we follow Provolutions plan).

Also if we discover Iron Working and we haven't explored any of the map what was the point in rushing it?

While 9 is a clear majority, there are only 7 unvoted votes left, so the warrior will at least tie.

We need to get out and explore early. Now the question is which direction do we exlpore in first?

I have voted and we now have 9 votes for a warrior! Hey, do we get to name our units? (I don't have Conquests so I'm ignorant about this.)

So, we make a warrior and it seems the team wants to send him exploring. Do we have a consensus on this? If we do then we can proceed to the question already raised: which direction do we explore first?

I think it would be best to explore the river basin. We might find a nice place to put a new city.

I will post a draft call right away, one for Army, one for Cavalry, one for Artillery and one for Navy. Players are only allowed to enter one Branch until all units are built.
