Turn based strategy games for a very low end machine. I plan on Getting EUII if I can find it. I have Civ2, I've reinstalled Risk as it's the only EUII/Risk like game I have besides Fracas. I also have Axis & Allies. I'd prefer something with some depth but preferably not much micromanagement. If they are freeware the better, but I will look into non-freeware.

My best and newest games are at my mom's with my good computer and I've gotten bored of the games here at my dad's.

EDIT:
Low End:
Pentium 4
256 ram
integrated intel gfx card (with pixels shaders)
can run morrowind but not SMAC (has odd problems sometimes...)
PCI
-------

I am also most interested in Risk-liek games, cross between Risk and Europa Universalis II

It just doesn't work, I can't remember, it was at least 3 years ago. Doesn't matter, it should work on my new computer, but I just have not been interested in installing it yet.
And I will be looking into MoO2 soon.

Here is a free Turn Based WWII strategy game, Steel Panthers: World At War

http://www.steelpanthersonline.com/main.asp

You can download it at 450MB or order a CD with the game and a bunch of other stuff.

I don't know what your kind of low end machine is, but I could run it no problem on a Pentium II 350MHz, 128MB RAM

There is also Steel Panthers: Main Battle Tank which covers the era 1946 - 2020, which is approx 100MB download.

That's a low-end machine ? Then mine is a dead-end machine. :)

Let's see:
-Age of Wonders 1
-Age of Wonders 2 (it works kinda slow for me - i stopped playing it because of that, so it'll work perfect for your comp)
-Disciples 2 which is trully awsome.
-Heroes of Might and Magic 3 (NOT 4)
-Star Trek: Birth of the Federation
-Worms Armageddon .... ( <-- how did that get there :mischief: )

And did anyone mention Civ3 :mischief: ? It'll work fine for you as long as you don't play against 10+ civs.

I tried Civ3 at a friends, didn't like it.

I have AOW: Shadow(magic?), it's not my thing.

Star Trek: Birth of the Federation - was there not a thread here about that?

Disciples 2 - I'll look into it

Worms Armageddon - Will look into it.

Yea, and all the trekkies were arguing about trekkie stuff. You don't have to know all that (useless) stuff about star trek. I know almost nothing about it, but i enjoyed the game nonetheless.(sp?)
Also, i didn't mention it because it was already said, MoO2 is A LOT better than this ... (or any other 4x space tbs for that matter)
Oh, and DO NOT, i repeat, DO NOT play MoO3. It's a disaster and it has brought great shame to MoO :(.

Read a few of it's reviews. (it has very good grades) It has little to no micromanagement.
And it has really cool 2D graphics (in combat).

You mean you didn't play it ?
Btw, it's a lot more fun in multiplayer/hotseat. But i enjoyed it a lot even before i played it in multi.
