Turn Discussion: Turns 1-19

I think it might be a plains hill rather than a plains 2NE of our capitol.

I'll look in a minute.

Yes, sorry that was a mislabel. 2 NW of settler is plains/hill.

Since we're going worker first and since it doesn't matter whether we work a 3f tile (sheep) or a 1f2h tile (grassland hill forest) I suggest we work the 1f2h tile just in case someone is paying a lot of attention to demographics. If they see us with 5 Crop Yield, they will know for a fact that we're not going warrior first. Better to make them wonder.

Does that really matter? I know people can tell what we build, but if we don't meet anybody for 25 turns that information would be obsolete. Wouldn't it?

Great suggestion.

Does it really matter? Probably not.

Is the information that we're not building a warrior first going to cause another team to initial warrior rush us? Probably not.

Does it hurt? No.

It's always better to have them guessing what we're doing rather than knowing. In a number of turns when we don't grow they'll know we're building a worker, but it doesn't hurt to put a little doubt in their minds in case they do stumble on us early.

Two things:
1. All AMAZONs wanting to subscribe to the turn log can do so by clicking on the thread tools bottom close to the top right of the page.
2. @SS: You know how to make those pictures fit in the screen and not have to click them right? Just making sure.

1. So many sheep... I tried to count them but fell asleep. We should definitely hook up TRs soon to trade them in for other resources. Anyway, no reason to change the SIP plan.

2. Somewhere in that 3rd sheep area, there might be a good location for a hammer city.

3. I like the 1f2h plan. Smart thinking! :goodjob:

4. The game started!! :woohoo:

If we were to research Fishing right after AH, how many warriors would we build before getting a work boat? It seems to me that we'd want at least a couple warriors before we go for the work boat, so unless we'd start building the wb right away I'm leaning towards mining as our next tech.

Working the 1f (:food:)2h(:hammers:) tile gets us the worker in the same amount of time 12T (turns). But we show higher MFG IIRC so that is what we are doing. Good work on the demographics analysis SilentConfusion.

This is our current land situation... We found a 3rd source of silver:eek: 1NE of our 2nd silver.

We are going to need a thread to discuss the location of city 2 pretty soon, but until then, we can start getting ideas out. Look at the fogged-out square 2N of the 3rd sheep. A cith there would get the 3rd silver and the 3rd sheep in the BFC. However, we would need a border pop (monument or SH) to get either. So we need Myst to make this city a viable location.

I say we explore a little more and explore the options of "splitting" that site you suggested i.e. a city to the NE and a city to the E.

Scout's next move.

NE to sheep seems obvious but then we have the choice of the N or E hill.

I would go with the E coastal hill as it will expose any useful sea resources for a 2nd city. Then maybe hook north on the next turn.

I say NE>E. I don't think we need to find our second city yet, we need to explorer more. We need to name that "The Silver Line" we can use that as some sort of divider.

I am not saying we need to find a 2nd city site yet - but going NE E will give us a good view of the coast so that we won't need to re-explore the area later.

Also you can see farther across water. So we might reveal more of the map, including possibly useful sea food resources like damnrunner said. I would lean towards NE>E.

Well there's our next scout move. ;) Have you guys noticed how the hills form a diamond?
