Turn Discussion

Hehe, just you wait.

That is the wrong phrading, obviously someone get worried if you take longer than 3 hours... But noone SHOULD get worried unless you take more than 24 hours :p.

we'll we needed some time the turn before last to decide whether we wanted to fry or roast our lion meat

Yeah, especially since HUSch was already logged in to the game when I played our turn this morning. I guess moving their big army takes time... :shifty:

Well, then they would still likely have posted here. I guess they're just discussing a lot as you say. ;)

I had left my game running for a while after playing our turn, and when I got back I had this message waiting for me:

Could someone explain?

Note that I'm not meaning to accuse anyone of anything, for all I know the problem could be something gone wacky on my own side. And if it's on someone else's side, I'm sure it wasn't intentional.

I see that from time to time from players connecting to me. It's not a big issue. Often it's just the result of someone having different game preferences; or else it could be something as simple as installing/uninstalling patches in different orders. In any event, there's usually no cause for alarm in a game like this, between people who know each other. ;) (As opposed to games with total strangers you meet in the Gamespy lobby.)

Thanks Lord, not surprised to hear this is just yet another CIV quirk. As you were. :)

This is because the incomming player is using an unofficial mod...like Bhruick's patch or something..

This should not be allowed IMO as the unofficial patches have changes in the game...and you cannot tell wich patch it is or whether the user has a mod of his own that changes something important.

You get that from running BUG as well...

Really? I run BUG but I don't get any benefits from it in multiplayer

Anything that changes your costum assets(or normal assets i guess, but most things that changes normal assets makes you unable to load the game in the first place).

Actually I reinstalled CIV and BtS on Saturday, and I haven't installed any new patches so I have no idea why I would have any different custom assets.
