Turnplayers' Schedule

@ Loev - I will add you to the turnplayers list so you can start playing turns right away. I will log in and give you a list of what to do to get you started. I will put the list in the "Turn Discussion Thread."

After that, All you have to do is just follow the turn logs that are posted, to remind/ let you know what to do each turn.

If you are ever unsure what to do, just post in the turn discussion thread that you need a suggestion for what to do about X action or what to do with X unit. Then you can just do whatever gets suggested. If you don't get any suggestions the just use your best judgment... don't worry about messing up... its just a game afterall.

Don't forget to post a turn-log when you are done. Don't worry about the missing logs, just start off with the current turn.

Loev's guide to sorting out disagreements between suggested turn actions
(Please note that this is a suggestion not an official rule... For official rules, refer to the AMAZON Constitution)

1. As a default, the turnplayer decides what to do each turn.

2. If one person ('AMAZON A') suggests something, and the turnplayer agrees (or has no opinion) then follow the suggestion.+=

3. If one person ('AMAZON A') suggests something, and the turnplayer disagrees then follow step 1 (ie, turnplayer decides what to do).+=

4. If 'AMAZON A' suggests something, and another person ('AMAZON B') suggests something else, then the turnplayer decides which action to take. If the turnplayer does not agree with either suggestion, then follow step 1.=

5. If 'AMAZON A' and 'AMAZON B' both suggest the same thing, then follow the suggestion. Always try to do what most people (including the turnplayer) want /suggest. =

6. If the decision seems like a really huge deal, and it is unclear what most people want, and the turnplayer has no idea what to do, post (or request) a poll on it. = or

7. When in doubt, follow step 1.

DaveShack paused the game. Loev you can still play the turn, all you have to do is unpausez then play the turn, and then pause it again when you finish.

You pause/unpause the game by pressing the "pause" key on your keyboard. It is usually somewhere in the upper right corner of the keyboard, and depending on the keyboard, you might have to press the ctrl, or shift or alt or function button at the same time.

You know it works when you see "Game Paused by Loev" at the bottom of the screen.

Sorry if you already knew all this... but I saw you logged in and quickly logged out on civstats, so I was worried that you saw the game was paused and you didn't know what to-do. This can also serve as a reference for anyone else who may be unfamiliar with pauses.

I was about to ask, whether we are in trouble regarding turn players, as the forum has been really quiet recently. I just returned from my holiday and realized that not much discussion happened during that time.

Loev was turnplayer for a few turns but I think he went on holiday. So I can take over temporarily. Once I post the polls and turn log, hopefully some more folks will get back engaged.

My CIV playin' computer just went kaput. I can still play the turn using another computer, but it is really laggy and really really slow. For example, it literally can take 1 hour just to log in and load the game. Its even slower for the other pitboss games I play. I realize that no one else is available to play right now, but as soon as Loev gets back (tomorrow hopefully) I would appreciate him taking over.

In the meantime maybe nabaxo, remake, or link16 could take over

If not, I can still play, but I can't post many screenies... its just too cumbersome on this slow @$$ computer.

It was hot, very hot.

I think it's best if i take some turns next week. I have no idea what is going on right now. That what way i can read the forums on what happend when i was on holiday.

I won't be able to play turns for the next few days.

I will post here when I get back. I will try to keep up with the forum if whoever is playing has a question. Also, whoever is playing remember that we are at war, with units in Merlot's territory, so we really need to take our turn during the first 20 hours.

There are currently about 17 hours left in the current turn, which we already played, so whoever is playing has about 37 hours to read up and take over the turns.
