turns 37-54

Nobody explained to me why 3S better then 4S. Also, I do not understand why next City on tundra forest Silk. It has 2 Shc and lot of commerce. Looks that all prefer work on desert tundra.
Strange pals...

It is the wrong approach to ask why a town should be built closer, rather than farther away. It is so obvious that the placement of a town, and not the tiles it works, determine its corruption level. So always build as close as possible, while working the right tiles. That is it.
So why on earth would 4s be better? I have absolutely no idea. It would merely be a more corrupt town while the connection of the lux can be reached by several means. That would not do it for me. And winning that one tundra tile? Plant a forest on it and get the shields when the town is big enough to work these tiles, anyway.

But I do not think that it was decided to build the next town on the silks. It may have been mentioned as an alternative if you want to connect them really fast.

On different topics:
I think things look good, Memento.
And Settler, Warrior, warrior, worker doesnt sound bad to me

templar_x

It was worry that Camelot have no room. 2. it will eat RGL. 3. Corruption of Glastonbury will bigger.( If 4 S not). Silk will be faster.
BUT we loose 5% more due to corruption. I checked and it looks that it is more or less OK with 3S...

Thanks, guys, that you have been taking good care of the game, while I was "under water"! :goodjob: I think the team is going strong here, and someone will always be able to jump in, if someone else isn't able to contribute.

The settler, well was indeed a little mistake, no problem, we've all goofed up already, and I think it's nothing that can't be repaired...! And consider: the Knights are really doing well so far. Even though we burned quite some food for Philosophy, we are still #1 in population and commerce! (Incredible?! Have the other teams also burned food in an attempt to get Philo?!)

Yes, let the southern worker build the road to 3S next, so that the next settler can travel there. And the mine on the oasis was necessary in order to finish the Glastonbury granary a turn earlier.

I think we should now forget about the spreadsheet... We have reached our goal (Philosophy) and from now on it's getting too complicated, making a spreadsheet for 5 towns! (At least I don't have the time for it). Let's just coordinate it by hand as good as we can (and hope to avoid further small mistakes like the one with the settler ;)).

The basics are clear: 6-turn combo in Camelot, share wheat with Tintagel in a 4-2-4 way, and probably Avalon and Glastonbury can share food occasionally as well.
The details are left to the current turn player to work out... (I think we are all good enough for that, and we'll certainly get input from the others and can ask questions in case of difficult decisions.)

Name of the 4th town:Carlion?
:goodjob: I see you know the saga. I'll update our city name list in the Team management thread.

prefer too. meet other civ are more important for us then exploration anarchos territorium

But if we want to trade luxuries, (which I think would be a huge advantage over the other continent), we need to find their towns eventually. If we will build a third curragh now, then it's ok to send the second one north and let the third one discover the anarchos. But if not, I would prefer to send the second one east.

OK. But we should focus on Build Order (flexible, but still), Worker trajectories and actions, Dot Map and proper order.
Also discuss way of scouting and Diplomacy of course.
Proposal: Tinta: Curragh next, scout West from SW point. Lib prebuild.
Camelot: Settler warrior worker warrior setler
Glaston: granary
Avalon warrior, FP
3S -Lib prebuild?

Camelot can build settler/grow in 3/3 or 2/4
i prefer 3/3, but we need lux 10%

East warrior see border of Anarchos wirh irri wheat

yes, Anarchos are pretty close. lakes seem to be the natural border...

how exactly did you move the curragh on the other continent? n-n-n?

templar_x

Do not forget to make one move after the other, so that you can see a unit on the beach and not just pass by.

I believe Ivan means "4 NE" in his build recommendation post. I too believe that it becomes pretty clear that this will be our FP town.

templar_x

look very carefully what the curragh sees... VERY carefully

Oh, no...
Shall we return to ss for two Cities? Is it difficult to Micromanage?
Wheat to Tinta. RBGL to Camelot = 7 SCh, Next turn 6!
Sure, Lux at 10%.
It is Eagles border 2 W from North Curragh.

@ Memento - does 3/3 and 2/4 stand for the food surplus?

Growth should generally follow a 4-2-4 food surplus scheme in the capital. It is put down in the spreadsheet in detail.

3-3 is not an option as it wastes food.

(beware that I am speaking without the save at hand)

yes u can build settler in 2 turns but camelot dont grow in 2 turns->waste 4 food
with wheat for 2 turns camelot grow in 3 and build settler in 3->no waste food

Look: you need Wheat only 2 turns out of 3. Yo may also take RRMBGL from Tinta, when Tinta use Wheat.

Next turn we should Move the curragh Next to the shore so that we can See a Unit 2 Tiles Inland when it stands on a Hill/Mountain.
