Typos and other oddities

Edit: I'm playing v29. The following list will likely be composed of mostly minor display stuff like typos. See also post #3.

(2) Not just this one in Militia, but all instances of "soldier" in the civics are misspelled like that ('soilder').

(4) Animation bug, it's those hunter fellows who carry a staff. When they attack they either twitch in place or sort of kneel. They don't leave corpses when they die either, their body remains in that standing pose and the next sub-unit will walk "into" them - like you can see here the second staff guy in the attack animation right where the first staff guy is "standing" (he's supposed to be dead). The rock guy on the left is mostly okay, although his animations feel a little off to me (can't quite pin it down though).

Just a couple of text display bugs, no big deal. Unless the first one is supposed to be a checkable option as well.

1. That looks like a Python error to me.

2. Bah, CivPlayer should have done spell check before changing those. It is easily fixable though, I'll tell him about it.

(5) In ROMAND I remember if I have this unchecked only one pair of +/- buttons remain. Here it doesn't seem to do anything, the ++/-- buttons remain (i.e. both pairs).
Wait, ignore this - when I started the game up this morning there was correctly only one pair of buttons. I suppose changing this option necessitates a game restart.

(6) Also in ROMAND this Field of View option would make a little slider appear at the top right of the screen (under all the advisor shortcut icons) allowing you to adjust the FOV; here the slider thingy doesn't appear. I'm playing at 1920x1080 if it matters.
Same case as #5 above, when I restarted the game later the FOV slider appears.

(7) After a whole slew of silent techs, it was nice to hear this Ahnold clip :D The pedia text appears to not be linked correctly though.

(8) The "Poultry Domestication" tech (prehistoric) is using the "Blessed be the fruit of thy cattle" voiceover despite the flavour text being something else. More like a nitpick than a bug >_> Well since you have a bunch of silent ones maybe just silence this one too and keep things consistent?

Looks like the modders could do with 'solider' spelling ability! :crazyeye:
 
I found one like this a while ago In Scientific Method and I just found another in the Electronics tech. Also Canaanism has a similar error, but I didn't get a screenshot.

Here is a set of related typos, "boarders" being something completely different than "borders".

In Modules\OrionsMods\Merchants_and_Pirates\Naval_Civ4GameText.xml this extra "a" shows up for these text tags:
