UA Elimination Thread

I was in the wonders elimination thread, but only caught the end of this one. Honestly, the Korean ability is good, but I don't think it's two ranks above Babylon. I'd rather have Persia be ranked too high by itself than have both Persia and Korea ranked too high. That and continuous GAs are kind of fun when you can arrange them.

Anyone, the other side only has 47 minutes left, because then it's midnight and I can vote again.

I think bumping the votes up to -4 and -5 was a bit extreme. We can only give it +1 each vote, and quite often people of different viewpoints keep the crop of good abilities in check by downvoting the other person's favorite.

-3 I think is perfect for elimination threads unless the sample size is too small.

But I'll go ahead and end it.

(+) Persia : 10% Combat strength and one extra movement make warfare during a golden age very nice. Also given a double length golden age duration (or 2.5 - 3x with Chichen Itza or / and Freedom Finisher) you can pop great person after great person for endless mop up duty on easy mode. More gold and 20% increased production throughout the game can be leveraged to suit many different VC objectives.

(-) Korea : Good UA for science, but you don't need to be top dog in science to win the game. It helps but isn't necessary.

Hm, I will need to try this out, I would never ever tought Darius UA will win.

What is the basic approach with him on standard continents deity?

idk about deity but when I play him I crank out as many immortal use iron for Cats by then I have Civil Service and use catapults and immortal Pikemen.

Rely more heavily on mounted units as your primary attackers with darius and have the immortals play medic role in the back. Eventually some will get enough xp for march, but having the precious previous immortals as front line attackers is too risky. Once you get a core of 4-8 of them up to rifles you can get an advantage on the battlefield with their special healing ability.
