Ufo (x-com) Nes?

Well since Daftpanzer got me thinking about UFO again (and even playing it!) and since his thread sadly got closed I've been thinking if a UFO NES could be opened. It could be done in form of a boardgame or something similar to what Daftpanzer has done on his PC (If you are still wondering what I am on about, here's the link). Any ideas or motivation for this kind of thing?

It was an NES by all rights. Daft would post a main update and other people would post stories.

I posted it here because this is the only part of the forum im really familiar with. Anywhere else and id be a stranger. But i can understand why its been closed.

I dunno if one of the mods sent me a PM or not... Apparently i have 1 new message, but when i go to my inbox its all old stuff from days ago. Might be the wierdness from yesterday?

ah well, i need to concentrate my time on DNES2 anyway.

As for a potential alien invasion NES. Maybe more along the lines of each player having their own bases and squads or something? Maybe all players against the NPC aliens, competing for share of the world's funding?

anyway, just cleared my first Alien base toady. was utterlygh slaughtered by one of my own men. one of the few that had power armor to. *sigh* ah well. still won, and got enough loot to install a second H-wave.

I get the feeling it was some kind of error as well... the music thread likewise got shut with no explanation at all (which is highly unusual for the mods). Shame too as I had found the GC soundtrack for download (legally).

Don't really see how an X-COM NES would work in a traditional format. It'd have to be like... the Superhero NES or something, only with everyone working together.

As for why the forums are being moderated, it's your own fault. Y'all don't have respect for the forum rules, thinking you're above them for some reason. The rules say 'Don't spam', and you think it doesn't apply to you. We are doing no more than enforcing the rules set up by the site administrator. Don't want to be moderated? Stay within the rules, and you won't be.
