What's the standard waiting period for inclusion in a Civ Game? Is it 10 years? 15?
Because there are a couple more recently deceased people I think would be great.
Great Scientist*, Modern Era--Steve Irwin: Activate on a Luxury animal resource (elephants, whales, turtles, clams, etc.) to trigger Inspiration for Conservation. Activate on an Entertainment Complex to instantly build a Zoo or a Water Park to instantly build an Aquarium. Activate inside a National Park to double its Tourism yield.
Great Merchant, Information Era--Satoru Iwata: Activate on a Commercial Hub or, if playing as Japan, on an Industrial Zone with an Electronics Factory. Gain 300 Gold and "Video Games" as a unique Luxury resource.
Great Scientist**, Atomic Era--Neil Armstrong: Activate on a Campus or Spaceport to trigger the Eureka for Rocketry. +20% Production towards producing Spaceports and Space Race Projects.
*Steve didn't really call himself a scientist; he was a naturalist, but I think that qualifies him as a Great Scientist.
**Neither did Neil, but he left his indelible mark on scientific history with his one small step.

The waiting period only really applies to the Great Writers, Great Artists, and Great Musicians because of the copyright issues. Your suggestions are fine.

Thanks to the info I found on the leader Chief Xet-su-wu, Kadjisdu.axtc sounds like a great choice for either a Great Artist or Great Engineer (not sure which would be better). He was described as the Michelangelo of the Tlingit art world.
Edit: A random idea but perhaps he could be a Great Engineer that could grant an extra Great Work of Art Slot when on a district or a wonder.

I added him to the Great Artist list, I don't think he makes sense as a Great Engineer

It occurs to me that the Great Artist suggestions usually have suggestions for their great works too so I thought I'd look into it. These posts suggest that they could be called Chief Shakes' House posts and The Whale House posts though if that's too vague then there's a more specific list right here.

Sumerian rock bands would be based on Iraqi rock bands then perhaps?
Well, obviously. Since rock is a modern thing, we will have to find rock bands from modern day countries. Or maybe those that were founded by people of the appropriate ancestry.
It would be very hard to find bands whom someone doesn't own the rights to the name though.
That's why there will not be real band names in the game itself, but maybe we could create a database for a possible mod or something, where this is not an issue. But if we are trying to be realistic and create a wishlist for stuff for Firaxis to include, this will obviously not work.
Most of the western world and Japan will be easy. Other civs would need some major hunting and googling.

You can create your own thread. I'm not too interested in doing so.
I'll consider a wishlist for rivers/volcanoes/mountains/etc once we know all the feature names (after GS is released).
Yeah, that's what I wanted to know - whether you were planning on making these threads or not. So I'll create the rock bands thread, and leave the natural features thread to you.
