Underated vioces in music

Johnny Hartman.

Look him up, check him out, thank me later.

Barry Mcguire, he had that very natural unforced rasp that I like, to many guys force that and I hate it.

Yeah, but underrated? He seems to be one of the most famous vocalists of his type (whatever "his type" is).

really? Who has ever heard of mr bungle? And when you ask people if they like faith no more, they think of "epic", and say, eh.. they are all right....

I mean people who have listened to the many faith no more albums know he has the most amazing voice in the world. But I dont think he really ever has had real mainstream recognition... and the one hit they did have, his range was not that exposed, and he had more of the rap sound, and the nasally sining, that is about all most people know about him.

Since when was Mike Patton really famous? He was only for a small period in the early 90'ties, but since then he haven't made it big in the media I think. Most of his best work has been done after that period however.

I also agree with what Neomega said.

Roy Khan and Russell Allen. Not within their genres (probably), but certainly in general (not that people think they're bad, but that people have usually never heard of them).
