Unified Changelog

Would be great if all new lua functions and events were properly documented. Do they at least have a unique comment in source code, so they are easy to find?

+1

If you look in the github under features request labels, you would find most of the new ones.

All new events are documented in the custommodoptions.xml file.

Lua functions aren't documented outside of the lua files themselves, no, but it's clear where new lua functions are and what they do. Perhaps someday we can go through and document them, but not today. :)

Where can i find the change log for the new version?

There's always a thread created by Gazebo for each new version with all its changes. It's either called 'New Version - [date]' or 'New Beta Cersion - [date]'. The latest one would be this one.

I would like to point out that the CP is not properly documented and it changes a lot more than some AI stuff.

I have played with Smart AI and Artificial Intelligence mods and I know those changes are not from those mods, those must be from the CBP that somehow made it into the CP, or were not properly disabled.

You say

"Community Patch (CP)
This version contains only the DLL bugfixes and AI improvements. No balance or gameplay changes are included. New DLL tables, functions and LUA events are included, however they are not used by the mod. All users will need to download this mod!
"

But from playing one game I can tell out of my head that

1) the minimum distance between cities has been changed from 3 to 4 tiles
2) religion pressure has been changed and passive religion pressure from cities is now based of the distance between those 2 cities, the further away, the less pressure (as low as 1 pressure a turn)
3) great people value (scientists, writers) is no longer based of your science/culture value when used, but of the science/culture value when said great people is born
4) great engineers now complete buildings and wonders on the same turn they are used (used to bring the remaining time to 1 turn)
5) some changes made to the forbidden palace or the diplomatic victory condition or the world congress, notably, I was getting 6 delegates from the Forbidden Palace in the Information era instead of 2.

And possibly more.

The CP used to have CBP goody hut ruins tables a couple months ago, and it was changed after I pointed it out, I would not be surprised if a lot more stuff were not properly disabled.

edit:
6) units garrisoned in a city are being damaged and losing health when the city is being attacked
7) changes made to the production default citizen assignment in cities, when a new citizen is born, it seems to choose the highest value tile and not the most productive one, losing you hammers each time in the process. Not a big thing but it adds up when all your cities are doing that for every new born citizen, making mix/maxing difficult. If more changes were made to the way every new turn is proceeded and hammers don't count at the beginning of the turn after a citizen is born, which could explain the changes, that would be nice to know
8) Iroquois civilization got changed, units for the little I played ignore the penalty for moving to forest tiles and always move 2 tiles regardless of terrain everywhere.

Thanks for documentation. A lot of those things are bug fixes, but I'll look at addressing the rest in a future version.

Ya, I don't really mind what you decide to do, keeping the changes as in or disabling them entirely is up to you either way, although keeping changes to a minimum would be better imo (the changes to passive religion pressure is rough on large and huge maps), but some documentation would be nice, so people know what they are downloading.

The change to religious pressure is a bugfix for a faulty element in the religion code.

First of all, a big thanks to the team that is making this package of mods. Secondly, do any of you guys know if I need to uninstall the previous version before installing the new one that has just been released?
