Cossack 28 - Never tried Russia yet but I know that AI Cossacks are rather dangerous with their combat bonus against wounded units. Furthermore, that unique promotion is marked as a yellow up arrow, rather than the sword and + symbol. Could this mean you could get both combat bonus against wounded units on a cossack (i.e. a 66% combat bonus against wounded units)?

Immortal 0 - the extra heal upgrade is great, but there's a natural wonder that gives the same heal buff. And if only you could upgrade them into rifleman...but it's not possible (unless you still play vanilla). Goodbye Immortal.

I do hit-and runs, but I don't use them as my main strategy. I use mounted units to hit soft targets or to pillage important resources usually, and the lighter horsemen and lancers/cavalry work good for that. I didn't like them in Civ IV as a UU either.

keshiks and camels can take over entire continents without ever taking damage. now thats serious

Berber: Downvoting on anything was really hard choice, because i like all remaining units. But i think berbers are weakest on this list. 75% on home desert is so good, but it is situational too. What if you don't spawn on giant desert? Morocco doesn't have desert bias (i rerolled few times with morocco and took about 5 times before i got desert). 25% home bonus is more reliable and good when defending your own lands.

Impi: I have to say, these are powerhouses, even in AI's hands, pikeman that has extra attack, combined with 1+ movement, better flanking bonuses and range defense from Ikanda. They can fight toe-to-toe with any unit until industrial era, pretty much. Also, works perfectly with Zulu UA, 50% less maintenance of melee units allows Impi spam.

Hussar 8 Their increased flanking damage plays perfectly into the strength of mounted units, to surround their opponents. They also make great spotters for artillery. Out of the three cavalry UUs left this is my favorite because it pairs so well with artillery and the other two depend on certain circumstances and these really don't. I've had good results just rushing dynamite and skipping rifling for a bit because of these guys.

C'mon guys, Siege Tower at 36 points while the Ram is voted off? Sure, makes "missing that awesome spot" a non-issue in the early game, since you can just take it with ease, but it doesn't have the same longevity as the other 30+ point units here.

Also, my daily love for Chu's: A recent game reminded me of how useful crossbows are for cutting down unit spam in 1UPT. You can only have so many units in one area, and double attack essentially allows you to double that number. Can almost think of them as stacks of two in a 1UPT game.

And just to troll: longbows are still subject to terrain, so while it needs the right map conditions to allow a third row to attack (no indirect fire like artillery), Chu's are guaranteed to get there two shots off.

The ram is out mostly because it replaces spears, and a lot of people use spears for early game utility usage.
