Unit Modifikation: Trieme with two Sails (Greek Trieme)

Never expected, but now it's here. These Galley with two sails. Included are icons, a units32-gfx and a *.ini-file, but the *.ini file is without sounds for version reasons.

It would be great, if anybody could make a multi figure unit from. May be combined also with Krytens Aincient Merchant Ship.

All seems to run fine, but then I get an error message, something like "The programm dosn't work. Abort/Close?". But it happens not every time. The third run works. Seems to be a explorer problem.

Yes, mrtn, w.i.n.t.e.r. is right, it is historical. Kind of. Here in civ3 it's not such easy to change a single unit like it in Civ2 was. So it looks not 100% historical correct, but that isn't that important.

Is the front sail a bit empty? Anyway, it's a great unit and something I can probably use in my mod.

In case you don't plan to add anything to the front sail, I've got Default anim finished of a modification of your unit with some colours added to the front sail. If I finish the other anims, is it ok if I post the result in this thread? If not, I understand perfectly.

Drift, I dont think its a bit empty. I personaly prefer sails without something on top. This is the same for the Privateer unit and Man-O-War. They look IMHO much better without some colour thing.

But however, feel free to moding and then posting it in this thread. I think, I would link it in the first post too and also add a preview of yours then there.

It's clearly a matter of preference. I like my sails colorful and the units a bit cartoony.

Anyway, to cut it short so I can go get some sleep, I finished the unit. It was a quick work since most directions had the front of the small sail hidden. I tested it out and feel rather pleased with myself as it looks in fact pretty good in game.
