I voted for the Great Cthulhu. I will have to think hard if i will vote for it in the yearly as well, since up to now i planned to pick the farmhand...

Ditto. Difficult choice. I too had to vote for Cthulhu. I'll probably never use it, it's ugly, but it's a beautiful piece of work and definitely unique. My second choice would have been ????????

I think, the Cthulhu had a bigger working phase like my mammoth, but its not so different like my egypt War chariot. BTW - the anglo-saxon gang here votes everytime for Mr. Plotinus - the Master of unusable units (for historical civIII).

Yang Liu, if you didn't want your mammoth to be your entry in the competition, you shouldn't have entered it. The rules are perfectly clear that entries can't be changed once submitted. That rule applies to everyone, so it is entirely fair. If you're not certain that your unit is the one you want to enter for that month, then you should wait until the end of the month and submit the entry you want then.

I am not going to comment on your remarks about me, and I'm not going to moderate someone when I'm the object of their attacks, but I will say that insults and purely negative comments of this kind are not acceptable behaviour on the forum, whoever their target may be.

Moderator Action: Everyone: Pounder runs these competitions for the good of the community and gets nothing in return, just as Flamand did before him. The only feedback he seems to get is people complaining about the rules as he has set them out. These competitions are supposed to be friendly fun in which we celebrate the month's creations, not an opportunity to whine when they don't go the way we like. Take part in them in the spirit in which they are intended.

Like I said in the PCX thread, maybe we should make a new rule about no complaining about the rules of the competition in the competition thread

All of these are great additions to the community. Looking at these I am honestly blown away by the level of attention to detail and effort present in each of these. We've really come a long way in a very short amount of time. If only the original game had shipped with units like these!

I voted for Tom because of the bunch of Zeppelin he brought out, a pack of very useful units I think. Of course the Cthulhu will win, but not for any other reason than this one : the animations are splendid, the unit is a very special one and it will perfectly fit the amazing mod it was designed for (says the not-so-anglo-saxon french guy). Talking about historical units, look at the guy sitting on top of a mammoth

EDIT: I agree with wolf_brother on the high-quality of all these units. You rule guys...

Hikaro unit was nice too, original morphing, but it's facing a tough competition.

Wyrm's tank is also good, but he is making so many of them it's hard to be impressed, we are accustomed to them too much .

Which is why I really don't bother entering much of them. It would be like Ford entering the Model T into a "best car of the year" competition. Really? Again? It's good, but it's the SAME thing. I'll try next month if I have time to make my Zulu War rifleman. I mean I only entered it in the competition in the last month so that Tom wouldn't have been so lonely. But when I saw Cthulhu I knew it would be a blowout.
