These guys kick butt like SEALs or SAS. They've got paradrop ability ... while carrying a whole mountain peak for protection from missile attack ... Their weapon of choice is a big stick/mace, but they also love boulder tossing and improvised incendiary devices

... Infantry armed with an AK, no sniper. Basically a Soviet Infantry.

let's see, a disgruntled serf who'd really rather shoot the political commissar than the enemy, if only the bullets had gunpowder instead of sand, vs. a sacred commando armed with close combat weapons, ballistic & explosives ordinance, protected by a missile shield, hmmm... and the first impartial comment is straight from BadKharma, hmmmmm... who should I put my money on?

I think Utahjazz did a great job paring down the list (with the obvious oversight of not including my semi-coherent request ).
There are 5-6 "oh please, oh please" units for me in this lottery. Since my team didn't make it, I will just watch the "games" and maybe start rooting for 1 or 2 once the field is narrowed by a round or two.

Yeah, there's more than a few good ideas in there. Though if I'd have realized how many units made the finals, I just might have asked for that Boilerplate robot unit. Oh well. Maybe next time. Though just thinking about a beige civ-coloured Kool-Aid man makes me a little queasy. I wouldn't want to imagine what flavour it was supposed to be.
