Its the fact that Firaxis didn't ask me what units they should have in the original.

That and I really would like to see as many flavor units as possible in the game.

These units would be fantastic (if they are quality...) Both the WWII one, and especially the modern one. I just dig those "heavy" types - with lots of gear. And a modern one would be a better UU, because it would not be outdated.... (to bad for all the other civs but...)

I thought this was a thread for both the WWII and the Modern Airborne versions. You didn't mention which version you wanted in the header post, in fact I don't think you mentioned a preference anywhere. Meanwhile Kal-el and Smoking Mirror both asked for a WWII version and Kal mentioned he wanted the WWII version to have Tommy Gun. So I found a Tommy Gun Model for anybody who would want to make that version.

If this thread is only for the Modern Airborne then I guess Kal-el should post another unit request thread.

I think the unit should look some where in between a WWII and a Modern Ranger. That way it wouldn't look out of place in the late Indusrial and Modern Ages.
