Unit requests thread

is it ok, if he has the HeavySpearman animation just with the halberd in his hand?
I tried making it for myself, and I got it into the game correctly (Almost, its name is TXT_KEY_UNIT something or other, I can't remember), but whenever I try to build it, Civ4 shuts itself down. I think I messed up the animations, I'm not sure how to do that.

Does the unit work in the civilopedia or if you put it in via worldbuilder?
If yes, then remove the comma at the beginning of the button in the artDefines for the unit.
 
I can put it in through Worldbuilder, but it has no animations, and the only way I can tell it to do something, like Fortify, is by pressing the Hotkey. The Civilopedia is also really messed up, it just has its icon, nothing else. I really screwed up. I can show you some screenshots if you need them.
 
I've found the Elemenatilist in the Orbis Mod ... would be great if you or so. else could seperate the head from the body (just need the body)

There should be no need to separate the head then. Just scale the BIP Head node to 0.01 and the new head (that should be a child of BIP Head) to 100.

Okay, then you've been right, there's something wrong with the animation. Which animation do you use? Spearman should be the right one.
 
Okay, I fixed it so that it has the animations, it shows up in the Civilopedia correctly, and I can place it in Worldbuilder and it'll work. However, Civ4 still crashes whenever I try to just build it.

If yes: How big is your button? It can max. be 64*64 pixels.

Okay, so if you got no idea perhaps you can help me with another little problem.

I got two units, one "Jon Snow" got a glowing sword, "Thoros" don't have a glow on his sword. I want it the other way round but I don't know how :( Perhaps someone could explain where to find that glow in nifskope?

I think you mean the flame thing, right? That one isn't bond to the sword, but is a separate effect that moves the same way as the sword does. I have no experience with using these effects and the units structure is pretty messed up. My guess would be that it has something to do with the stuff that is within the Axeman_Axe_Primary node, because that node is bond to the right hand as well and some child nodes are called "SuperSpray flame ity-Emitter".
